Yes, Martha was still in the clinic, nursing a cup of coffee and keeping an eye on those who had spent the night. She didn't want to hope that no one else would be hurt today, afraid that she would jinx the whole island into harm's way. She did, however, hope that the supplies held out. Now she understood why her predecessors had kept the place overstocked with bandages.

Late in the morning Harvey came limping into the clinic. His left pant leg was bloody from the calf down but he didn't look too panicked. The would hurt but Harvey was too relived about escaping the clown to care.

"Can I get some help, please?" Harvey asked politely when he got to the front desk.

The politeness and calm threw Martha for a moment when she saw how much he'd been bleeding. "What happened?" she asked.

Martha helped Harvey into the exam room, and went to get the supplies to clean his wound. "You said a clown did this?" she asked. "Not that I'm doubting you or anything. That's actually one of the less crazy things I've heard this weekend.

"He was wearing clown makeup," Harvey said, wincing a little as he sat down at the exam table. "I don't know if he entertained children or not."

Roy was still there, as was Ow who for some strange reason seemed to have made peace with the world. There was a pile of reports on the night table and whenever Roy was awake, he was pouring over them.

Aly had nodded off for a moment in the chair next to the bed, but she woke up quickly, hearing the papers rustle that meant Roy was refusing to rest again.

Jaina had spent only part of the night in a healing trance, the rest of it spent too distracted by a million other thoughts to concentrate. The fact that she didn't like showing weakness with her grandfather in the next room was probably the only thing that had kept her from becoming a wibbling mess.

Still, despite it hurting to move still, and despite the bruises that had popped up overnight meaning she actually looked worse, she was getting up to check herself out.

In the early evening, Jan limped into the clinic. He'd waded in the pond to try and soak away the blood from the tear in his shoulder and the deep slice in his flank. He'd been only partly successful, and the tear was still oozing slightly.

Someone had said he could find a healer here, and so here he had come.

After this weekend, Martha was fairly certain that she'd seen and heard everything. Then she peered up, and found a unicorn in her clinic, and she couldn't help but stare.

"Um. Hello there," she said.
