Doogie had a large cup of hot chocolate to combat the cold morning, and was flipping through the TV channels to see if he could find anything besides infomercials.

After the events (http://pieandcoffee.livejournal.com/5504.html) earlier in the morning Dale still found time to stop off for coffee before hitting the clinic.

A man has his priorities.

"Excuse me young man," Dale said in his usual chipper fashion and holding the directive from the sheriff's office requesting a prescription for Haloperidol. "I need to see a doctor about getting a prescription filled."

Doogie sat up straighter when he heard the door open, and smiled. "I'm a doctor," he said, not sounding at all like he'd said that a thousand times in his life.

Dale gave Doogie a skeptical eye for a moment but from what he can tell he was not lying no matter how young he may look.

"Fine then my good man," Dale said handing over the directive. "I need to have a prescription for haloperidol written for me. I have a condition that warrants me taking it."

"Haloperidol?" Doogie asked, taking the directive and looking it over. "Are you sure? That's a pretty serious drug."

"Very serious," Dale replied. "If not for my own safety but for others as well."

"Do you mind telling me the nature of your condition?" Doogie asked. It wasn't that he didn't trust the note but...okay, he might not have entirely trusted the note.

"Well it stems from the fact that I had a dream in which a dancing midget and a giant warned me that I could be possessed by an evil named BOB if I don't get the medication," Dale answered truthfully.

Doogie was suddenly very glad to have something in his hand to look at instead of staring inappropriately. "Around here, I don't think I'd be surprised if something like that actually happened," he said, grabbing his prescription pad. "It would certainly go against my job description if I didn't try to help."

"Well I appreciate your dedication to the Hippocratic oath," Dale said sincerely. "Especially in someone so young in his profession."

"I've learned from my elders," Doogie said. He wrote out the prescription, and handed it to Dale, along with the directive. "That should be enough to get you started. If you experience any ill side effects, we can try something else. If not, I can get you another prescription for more."

"I think I'll be handle the side effects," Dale said gratefully taking the paperwork. "Thank you again, young man. Have a pleasant day."
