FTEC: Friday Evening
Katara made her way through the usual rounds and tasks at the clinic before she settled down at the front desk with the box of chocolates and some paper.
Now if she could only figure out how exactly one wrote a letter without sounding very silly.

"Hey, you." Chad came in, but made sure he had a good, clear shot of the door if he felt the need to leave straight away.

That's right, Chad. Blame the cat.

"He does look slightly cross-eyed," she teased.

"I think he missed you."

"That's....a really good idea, Katara." He might have to bug Melody about that sometime next week. She'd probably love it, too. And, of course, he'd totally give Katara props for it. He knew she was the best roommate ever for a reason.
Even if she did work at a clinic.

Chad grunted, nodding. "Would make it a lot less lonely over that sometimes, too," he said. He knew he had the kittens and everything, but...
Chad's shoulders shifted, slightly, as he tried to make the decision of what would be worse. Staying any longer in a clinic than he had to, or going back to the store where all he had to do was think about everything that'd been going on with Teddy...

"He wouldn't shut up about you."

...someone had been reading romance novels. Tsk.

Prince Oscar Pedro, oblivious to any drama that he was apparently a part of, was now batting lightly at Katara's hair.

"You want me to take him?" Chad offered. "Should probably get back, just in case. Flopsy's good with the register, but not so much with counting."
no subject
"And you don't want to put Flopsy out," Katara agreed, giving kitty a last kiss before handing him back. "Or she'll run off to the traveling circus."

Might have had a whole new idea on how to spend the rest of his shift.
Prince Oscar Pedro didn't seem too keen on giving up on the cuddling, and Chad didn't have hair loopies, but, after some squirming, he finally agreed to settle down on Chad's shoulder.
"Kay, then. See you later, roomie. Careful on the way back and everything."

He'd told Jaina and Anakin that repeatedly as they hauled him towards the clinic.
Maybe Katara would believe him. "Hi!" he said, giving her a bleary smile. "I had a little wall fall on me, but I'm fine now. Can I go home?"

There was gesturing for him to come back to an exam room.

Katara grabbed a chart, making a face. "You're supposed to dodge walls, you know," she half-scolded, obviously worried.

Katara pulled a flow of water out of her waterskin and concentrated for a moment before she raised her hand to Luke's head, the water glowing brightly as she started to feel his chi and figure out where he was hurt.
Re: Exam One
"That's neat," he chirped.
Re: Exam One
She concentrated for a long few minutes, smoothing out his snarled chi into the proper flows. As she did, the bruising slowly lessened and she could feel the concussion fade slightly.
"There you go," Katara said, pulling he water back into her waterskin. "But you should stay here tonight. Just to make sure that knock on your head doesn't get worse."

It would hardly do to get sprung from the clinic and fall on his face trying to leave.
