FTEC, Friday, December 14 - Day Shift

Christian almost called in and took another sex sick day, but responsibility won out. Hopefully it would be a quiet day.

At one point during the day, Ronan came into the clinic, smiling and wearing his smart doctor glasses.

"Hello, Ronan," Christian said. "What's up?"

"Dr. Troy," Ronan said, nodding in greeting. "I wanted to propose something to you," he continued. "I've been thinking about it for a little while."

"What's on your mind?" Christian asked, leaning back in his chair.

"When Adah was here," Ronan said, "there was the incident with the respirator, if you recall from my notes." He frowned. "There are going to be other incidents where my magic won't work -- where magic won't work. I'm not the only student aide who relies on it, either. I was thinking it might be worth it to have a seminar on at least the basics of non-magical first aid."

"That's a good idea," Christian said. "If you can't use your mojo, you can still help out."

"Exactly," Ronan said. "I don't know that there's enough time before the holidays, but I was thinking it could be set up for afterwards. Do you think it's worth opening it to the student body, as well?"

"Sure," Christian said. "The more the merrier. Useful skills to have."

Ronan nodded. "Would you like me to organise it, then?" he asked. "I figure it would be best to do it on a weekend."

"Sure," Christian said, totally willing to let Ronan do all the work. "You can tell the principal the clinic is sponsoring it."

"All right," Ronan said. "I'll look into getting it set up, then."

"Great," Christian said. "Let me know what I can do to help. I'm especially good with hands on training with the female upperclassmen."

"I just bet you are," Ronan murmured, but he was grinning when he said it. He took his leave, saying goodbye to Dr. Troy as he left.
