FTEC, Saturday, November 10 - Day Shift

Christian opened up the clinic for the day after checking on the new patient in exam one. Then he settled behind the desk to do paperwork, except he found a marathon of Hearts 'n' Scalpels on and of course he had to watch.

After Katara had handwavily stopped by to ask for his help with last night's patient, Ronan came by the clinic. "Good day, Dr. Troy," he said, as he entered. "How's the patient?"

"Noisy," Christian said. "Kid seems a little hyperactive if you ask me. Ritalin might do him some good."

"Katara mentioned something about that," Ronan replied. "She asked me to come by, see if I could cure him? Something about how it's more trouble than it's worth just to let the flu run its course."

"Sure," Christian said. "He's in exam one. Give it a try." That way he could watch the stupid TV show in peace. Not that he was becoming addicted at all.

Ronan nodded, and, snagging the patient's chart as he went by, headed towards the exam room.

A very frowny and worried Andrew walked into the clinic and up to the front desk.

"You're putting it in upside down," Christian muttered at the TV screen, He should know. Then he saw Andrew. "Can I help you?"

Andrew got a little flustered around the doctor types, but he managed to say, "Bart! He's sick. The radio told me. Well, not me personally, but, you know... He wasn't there - in his bed. Is he here?"

"He's in Exam One," Christian said, pointing down the hallway. "Ronan's in there with him right now, but if he says it's okay for you to come in, you can visit. Just don't get him excited. He needs rest."

Bart was actually sleeping. As in, sleeping more than a few minutes before waking up and wanting to run around.

It was weird.

Flu's, in his opinion, mysterious creatures.

This would explain the strange dreams about squirrels kidnapping him to make him their king and then finding out it was all an elaborate ruse to turn him into a human sacrifice.

"No cutting out my liver!" Whoa, dizzy now.

Christian heard the shout and poked his head in exam one. "Everything all right in here?" he said.

Bart frowned, rubbing his forehead. "No squirrels allowed in here!"

"The exam rooms are squirrel-free," Christian assured him. "We have spider repellent in place to keep them out." He stepped into the room. "How are you feeling this morning?"

Ronan came back and knocked on the door. "Hello?" he asked. "My name's Ronan, I'm one of the clinic aides. Katara asked me to come by and take a look at you."

"She's not around?" Bart asked. Because Katara was awesome and had the magical water. Magical.

Ronan shook his head. "Nope, but she thought I could probably help you," he replied. "I'm a wizard, you see, and one of the things I can do is heal people. She thought it might help if I tried with you."

Andrew walked right into the exam room and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw his decidedly unsick looking roommate. "Bart! You're sick? The doctor said you needed rest. Do you need rest? I can leave."

"Nope!" Bart replied, bouncing a little. "I got ice cream and magic healing."

Andrew smiled. There was obviously nothing wrong with Bart that Fandom doctors couldn't cure.

"Awesome! Was the magic cool? Did you get all tingly and stuff?"
