Katara wasn't expecting to see a patient in the clinic so when she got there, she quickly made sure the rest of the exam rooms were stocked up completely before checking in on their patient in room one.

Once Christian had left, Roy had almost instantly fallen asleep. So once he woke up again later in the evening, he was feeling marginally better already... And ready to leave. He might have been the only one to feel that way however.

Katara peeked in the room off and on until she saw that her patient was awake.

"Hi, Sheriff," she said quietly. "How are you feeling?"

Not a blonde nurse, but Roy smiled at the girl. "About ready to go home, miss," he told her quietly, his voice hoarse. Of course, home might be the station.

Katara frowned, coming closer to look him over. "I don't know about that. You look pretty shaky still."

"And usually we tend to feel better in our own bed," he pointed out, trying to make his smile more believable. "What's your name, miss?"

Katara crossed her arms over her chest as she eyed him. "I'm Katara. And don't try to pull that line on me. I've heard it from way too many people already."

He couldn't help but be amused at her stubbornness and nodded. "Not surprised," he told her. "So what is your opinion then, Katara?"

"Let me examine you quickly and I'll see, okay?" she said.

He let out a breath and nodded, resigned to getting prodded. "Are you a student?" he asked.

"Uh huh, I'm a junior," she said, reaching to pull a stream of water out of her waterskin. "But don't worry. Dr. Troy hired me. I'm not really really bad or anything."

"That wasn't what I meant," he assured her, curiously looking at what she was doing with the water. "How are you doing that?"

"Oh this?" Katara said, looking up. "It's waterbending. I feel the chi of the water and can manipulate it."

Aly was still watching out for Wade's friend and keeping an eye on the minions but she stopped back at her apartment for moment, checked her messages and picked the lock to Roy's apartment to get some clothes for him before heading over.

Aly stopped at the desk to talk to the girl she remembered healing Zuko while Umbridge was still here then made her way back into Roy's room. "I'd ask if you ran into a wall," she said quietly, slipping into his room. "But I'm guessing that's not it."

She was walking more carefully than she usually did and his gaze swept over her body, expression darkening as he noticed the bruises around her throat.

"No, I'm guessing you didn't either."

"Shh," she said, raising her finger to her lips. "Say that too loudly and your watcher out there won't let me spring you."

He made a face and started sitting up very carefully. "Are you alright?" he asked quietly.

Aly moved to him to help him sit up. "You're the one in the clinic," she pointed out. "I should be asking you." Her eyes had already spotted the finger braces and bandages on his arm. "Though it's obvious you're not. Ran into Wade's friend?"

"Mmmmm, this morning," he replied, studying her for a long moment. "Have you heard from Wade? I haven't seen him in a few hours... I think."

She shook her head quickly. "Haven't seen him at all. I've been getting worried." Aly narrowed her eyes. "You think?" She held her hand to his forehead then his cheek. "Are you sure you should go?"

"He brought me in here and I slept since then," Roy explained, his eye briefly closing at the touch. "She said I could go if I got an escort so I'm going."

Aly looked unsure but nodded. "She made me promise to put you to directly to bed. Should I help you get dressed or get the nurse to?"

"You sure she's a student?" he asked with a grin. "You can call the nurse if you prefer," he replied.

Aly chuckled. "She has one of my favourite students intimidated too when he's not hating her at least. And I don't mind at all. Didn't bring a uniform though so you will have to manage with civilian clothes."
