FTEC, Tuesday, October 23 - Day Shift

The clinic was open, and Christian was anticipating the arrival of Jasmine the Plant Girl. She had a talent for making things grow.

Dr. Stanley Keyworth

Stan was in his office with the TV turned up.

He did not want to hear anything else going on in the clinic.

And here was Billy who likewise didn't need to know what else was going on in the clinic.

Stan greeted Billy in a manner that was probably too loud to drown out possible other sounds.

"How was your weekend?"

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-23 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"Mostly quiet. I didn't have any visitors--" There was a faint knocking sound. "--but did manage to mingle a bit. How was yours?"

Yes, he was waiting to hear about any visitors.

"I had...unexpected visitors." Billy admitted, sitting down.

"Parents arrived for Parents Weekend?" he ventured.

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-23 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"No, but, depending on which parent it would have been great, or disastrous. No it was, off and on associates of my father. Who also somehow wound up being my friends."

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-23 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"Which is a good thing?" he asked, unsure himself.

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-24 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's...complicated. My main worry is that if they could find me, so could my father."

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-24 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"And if he finds you, that won't be so good."

"Were they glad to see you? Glad to see them?"

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-24 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"They were glad. And once they assured me that they came alone, didn't tell anyone, and weren't followed, I was glad to see them." he smiled slightly.

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-24 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's good to hear. Things have been well for them?"

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
"Uh, yeah. They're working with my father, which is no doubt gonna cause them a lot of trouble later one though."

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Does he know they were here?"

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
"I really really hope not."

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
"How did they react? To the island, to you? ...to how you've changed?"

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
"Well it can be hard to tell with them, they tend to play things close to the vest, but they told me they could see why I liked it here. And there was smiling at my being in an actual school. Which is telling cause they don't smile much either."

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Sounds as if they approve of things here. Did they say as much?"

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
"Not specifically, but they didn't scoff much either. They did try to kick Jeff's dog though. That sucks."

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
"...they tried to kick a dog?"

Dog-kicking is generally bad. Stan did not know Nana, though. That may have changed his opinion slightly.

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah. I'm, kinda dissapointed in them for that."

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
He did not facepalm. That would be unprofessional.

"Was the dog attacking? Self-defence?"

"I honestly don't know, they were gone by the time I found out, heard it on the radio."

"Always a bastion of truth and accurate reporting," he said dryly.

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth - NFB, you furry-tailed rats!

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, that is a good point."

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth - NFB, you furry-tailed rats!

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
"It looks like you're still alive, and you haven't complained about any detentions today, so I take it the discussions with the teachers went well, the visit wasn't as bad as it could have been, and they've left the island."

PLease, they've left the island, right?

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth - NFB, you furry-tailed rats!

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeap, they're gone. My main worry is dad finding me now."

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth - NFB, you furry-tailed rats!

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
"I believe you've taken all reasonable procautions against that; have you discussed that with your visitors?"

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth - NFB, you furry-tailed rats!

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-27 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, they know all about my not wanting my father to find me."

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth - NFB, you furry-tailed rats!

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-10-27 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
"And they accept that condition?"

Re: Dr. Stanley Keyworth - NFB, you furry-tailed rats!

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-10-27 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
"They know my father as well as I do. They know what he'd likely do if he found me."

"So you're working at common goals. In this case."
