FTEC, Sunday, Evening Shift [Sept 30]

Ronan had had an... interesting night the night before that's still being played out, but figured that if nothing else, being in the clinic would be something normal for him.

Also, he was kinda hoping that by the time he got back to the dorms, people would have their memories again.

It was a very whiny Andrew who came through the clinic door, being supported by the blond girl who had damaged his wrist (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/1230261.html?thread=102754997#t102754997) in the first place. Not like he couldn't walk on his own, but he felt this made for a much more dramatic entrance. Evil people needed to make an entrance.

"Pain! I'm in pain. It's all broken!" He called out. Sure, evil people didn't whine, but one step at a time.

Said wrist-damager was almost sorry she'd volunteered to help Evil Guy now. She still didn't know his name, but wow, as evil went? He was kind of sad. "A doctor? Or someone? Please?"

"It's my wrist," Andrew said feebly. "This one," he jerked his head in the direction of the blond, "broke it with her basketball of good and righteousness."

Charlie looked simultaneously guilty and annoyed. "You said you weren't going to reform from Dark Arts and being evil! And I gave you a chance, too." She smiled at the new guy, and looked regretful. "I didn't mean to hurt him, really. I didn't think I could."

Andrew looked at the doctor man. "So I'm not evil?" Well, he said 'particularly evil', so that left some wiggle room.

"And you know my name!" That was a good sign.

He flinched as Ronan examined his wrist. "I should have been able to stop it," he said. "The basketball," he added for clarification.

"Andrew. Hunh. Hi, Andrew. Sorry about the wrist. And-- Charlie? Not Charlene?" Charlie said hopefully. "You know us? Seriously? What's going on, why don't we remember, who are you?"

Andrew totally allowed Charlie to help him up onto the clinic bed. He was holding his wrist tight against his chest. As far as he was concerned, this was the first time he had ever been seriously hurt.

In a very feeble voice he asked, "So am I going to need a cast?"

Charlie had started to pale at the sight of the needle, and then paused when Ronan explained. "You can do magic too? Like we can? And you don't need to hurt him any more than he is?" She took a breath, giving Andrew an encouraging look. "Cool, hunh?"

Andrew gave the needle a curious look. Blood magic seemed to be a very dark practice. Some of his notes had made allusions to its importance in summoning the really nasty demons.

He felt very comfortable with Ronan now.

"So, Ronan, are we good friends?" He felt like they should be.

"Are we friends? Well, I guess you can't know me that well if you didn't know about the magic," Charlie said, still watching, then holding looking over to the counter. "But see?"

Wish wish push! And the Kleenex box flew into her hands. "I just wish at it, and it happens. But I couldn't fix Andrew's arm when I tried to do that."

Andrew looked at a jar of cotton balls on the counter and tried to move them with the power of his mind. Again, nothing happened. He sneered at the show-off.

"I'm sure my powers are just being messed up by the whole memory thing," he added, not wanting to be left out of the magic circle.

And then Ronan did his thing, and the pain started to fade, and his wrist felt better. "You're amazing," he stated flatly. "If you ever feel like dancing again..." he trailed off, blushing and feeling a little guilty about the thoughts that were running through his mind.

Charlie rolled her eyes at Andrew, then reluctantly said, "That's probably true. I mean, I wouldn't know I could do this," she floated the box back over to the table, "If I hadn't gotten scared of the doctor here yesterday. And the needles he had." She gulped. "Hey, maybe I don't know I can do this. Maybe I just found out during this whole mess." She gave Ronan a speculative look. "But you don't think it's magic?"

She grinned a little as Andrew blushed, and covered her mouth with one hand to hide the smile.

Andrew felt slightly vindicated that the only thing Charlie could do was make a tissue box zoom about the room. He was sure his magical powers would be far greater when he got them back.

He moved his wrist around. There was no pain at all. "Thank you so much," he said. "If, um... well... if we're not friends, we totally should be. I would tell you my room number right now if I remembered it, but it's on the second floor, right next to the big common room thing."

He stood up, smiled at Ronan, and then smirked at Charlie.

Charlie wasn't totally sure that Andrew wasn't Evil after all. She was a little disappointed not to be a magical Defender of Good, but, hey. Moving stuff with your mind, that was cool.

"Thanks for that, Ronan. And for clearing up the thing about my not-magic. I appreciate it." She smiled a little more. "And hey, being Charlie, not Charlene. And I'm glad we're friends. You're sure this is going to wear off soon?"

"It's a date!" Andrew exclaimed and quickly clarified: "But not like a date date, because I have an extremely hot boyfriend."

He started to walk out, turned and said, "Thank you again. This is really wonderful." He pointed to his wrist.

Charlie followed him out the door. They didn't chat.
