Doogie was amazed to find an actual patient in the clinic in the morning, and he made sure to check on him before going through the rest of his Sunday routine.

Anakin finally opened his eyes: he'd used the anasthetic that Doctor Wilson had given him to bump him into a Jedi healing trance for most of the night.

He took a deep breath, then looked down towards his stomach. There was a long scar across it, but it didn't look like someone had tried to slice him in half yesterday.

It looked like someone had tried to slice him in half about a month ago.

He smiled, then reached for the comm. "Doctor? I want to go home."

That was a familiar greeting, and Doogie smirked as he went into the exam room. "Are you ready to go home, or do you just want to go?"

"Both?" Anakin tried. He pointed to the newly healing scars on his face and stomach. "Look. I'm better. And my best friend leaves the island today." He smiled. "I'd like to think I'm more mature than to resort to sneaking out the window like an idiot student, but I'm probably not if you tell me I'm staying."

Doogie had to admit that the scars did look like they were healing well, and Anakin's vital signs were good too. "Well, I don't want to make you try to get out the window if you don't have to. You'll need to take it easy for a few days, just in case."

He sat up and looked around for his robe.

"All right then, I'll release you," Doogie said, making some notes on Anakin's chart. "If you start to feel worse than you do now, make sure you come back in."

No one ever came back in, but he wanted to make sure he said it anyway.
