FTEC - Monday Dayshift 7/30

Wilson was whistling as he headed into the clinic that morning. No real need to ask why right?

He had a mug of fresh mint tea in his hand and a stack of personal paperwork to get through, which meant that the clinic's quiet status was just what he was perfect.

Sending the nurse back to do an inventory count, he settled behind the front desk and got to work.

The Angel's Corner

Round about late morning -- perhaps about the time a certain young doctor might have begun feeling a bit peckish -- Aziraphale walked into the clinic. He had a thermos of Wilson's favorite blend of coffee in one hand, a plate of tea sandwiches and gingersnaps in the other, and a crossword tucked under his arm.

Setting all three down on the desk, he leaned across and gave Wilson a kiss on the cheek, and then pulled himself up a chair.

"I decided I'd put in a bit of overtime on our date," he announced, with a cheeky smile.

"Terribly quiet, since you left for work," the angel replied. "So I made you something for elevenses. I thought you might be feeling ready for a bit of a snack. There's the watercress that you like. And I even made you coffee."

He said the last bit as though it was quite the amazing achievement.

"Did you have a good time last night?"

With a happy grin for the young doctor's enthusiasm, Aziraphale nodded in agreement with Wilson's take on the evening's activities.

"I got paired with Miss Millie, so we had a very nice conversation. But the others I hadn't met face to face either. Well, I had met a Mr Giles, but not this Mr Giles. And I had a very nice chat with young Mr Barbossa."

[ooc: *sighs and facepalms* Lunch meeting at 11:45, not 11:30. Stupid brain.]

Aziraphale poured himself a cup of coffee from the thermos, turned it into tea, and leaned back in his chair. "And you had a good time talking with them all? I do hope Mr Deadpool wasn't too...strange. He gets the oddest ideas in his head sometimes."

"Oh! I met a nice young man named Sean Nast as well," he added. "He runs a sporting goods store, which I said I ought to go and stick my nose into, just to see what sorts of things people buy in a sporting goods store."

Aziraphale would have pointed out that there were other ways to accomplish that, if Wilson were so inclined, had he been privy to that particular thought.

"Oh yes, I did ask whether his shop carried footballs, and he said it did," the angel replied, with an innocent smile. "Our last one did wind up being turned into feathers and abducted by Miss Abby, didn't it?"

"Well, I think so. I have some enjoyable conversations, and met a couple of new people. And I then at the end of the night, I met the nicest young doctor." Aziraphale gave Wilson a teasing grin. "And what about you, love? Was it a successful evening?"

"Well yes, but it never hurts to try and see if you can't fish out another compliment," Aziraphale chuckled.

He nodded at the mention of Fall classes. "Quite, love. I do think I've decided to go back to my Prophecy class this term. I've got some new ideas, and it really seemed to go very well last year."

Aziraphale blushed a teeny bit pink, and laughed softly, returning the little foot nudge.

"That's what I had been thinking, really. It always amazes me how many students show up here who are connected to prophecies or predictions in some manner or another. So it just seems that if I've got knowledge and resources they might need, I ought to see what I can do to share it." He cocked his head at Wilson. "And what about your class, James love? Have you made a decision?"

"I think that sounds like nice plan," Aziraphale agreed. "And certainly bound to be helpful in a place like this."

He sipped a bit more at his tea, and smiled. "I'm looking forward to getting back to teaching, I think."

Aziraphale chuckled and waved one hand. "Well, I was terrified of small children once upon a time as well," he pointed out. "Even old angels can learn a new trick or two, now and again."
