Gwynn was here and she looked like she was asleep.

However, she wasn't really asleep. She was silently contemplating the best escape route from the clinic. Yes, several people had told her that she wasn't well enough to leave and that her chest wound was not something that you wanted to take chances with.

However, she was a Hood and thought that she had been here quite long enough.

Once she thought the coast was clear, she started to sit up in the bed. First, she would sit up, then she would stand.

This... this was her not so bright plan.

And this was why it was a good thing that Conner was here before going to work, wasn't it?

Actually, this was exactly why Conner was here, and looking rather . . . mulishly stubborn.

Gwynn sat up and gasped as the pain hit. "Bloody he--" she blinked when she realized her boyfriend hadn't left for work yet. "Hello Conner."

Conner abandoned the attempt to tie his left shoe in favor of crossing his arms over his chest and raising an eyebrow at her. "Morning," he said, his tone and expression both clearly saying 'Gotcha.'

"You are still here with me," she said with a sweet and cheerful smile. "This is a nice way to start the morning."

"Uh huh," Conner replied, still with the 'gotcha' face ~~because I have so many appropriate icons for it~~. "Though you gotta admit, the sound of pain kind of takes the edge off the niceness. You really shouldn't be sitting up yet, you know."

"I did not expect anyone to be near enough to hear that," she said, because she was not a very good liar.

"What do you take me for?" Conner laughed. "The kind of guy who's not gonna keep an eye out for you as long as you're rockin' the hospital gown look? Which, by the way, you pull off better than a lot of people I can think of."

Except maybe Kira. But they didn't usually make hospital gowns in yellow, so.

Gwynn smiled at him. "The gown is a little more revealing than I am used to, Conner." She tilted her head. "I like that you keep an eye on me... and I take you for Conner."

"And here I was worried you took me for David Beckham -- which, please, no."

Conner should know better than to say things like this to Gwynn by now, but even if he did, it's not like he has a filter on his mouth.

"I like you. I do not want this David Beckham. I want you." Gwynn was very confused.

Empty.

Stan shuffled through his notes. Professionally. He was not, as it appeared to be, eating an entire cheesecake.

Ami knocked on the door.

"Ah, Miss Mizuno. Please, come in, have a seat. How has your week been?"

~~SP is love. also love? Ami talking about how she got turned into a talking plushy. :D~~

"My week has been... strange." Ami sat down on the couch.

"How so?" he asked, waiting for his patient to get comfortable.

"I turned into a cat. A stuffed cat. That talked."

"...that was you?" Stanley blinked owlishly. "A talking plush cat? Blue?"

Ami nodded miserably. "Yes"

Stan? Blinkeyblink as his braineybrain processed this. It was trying very hard not to divide by zero.

"Is there... how... Is there an explanation as to how this happened?"
