FTEC - Monday Day Shift 5/28

Wilson was still chuckling with loving amusement as he headed into the clinic for the start of the morning shift. He'd left Aziraphale back at the house dithering over proper footware for the beach.

It complimented the dithering Aziraphale had been doing the night before over proper shirt, slacks, socks...

Not that Wilson didn't already have his own change of clothes laid out for when he got off shift...nupe, not at all.

Checking in with the nurse on any activity, the clinic did seem blessedly calmer than it had last week, Wilson settled in behind the front desk.

Sometime in the mid-morning, Aziraphale stopped by the clinic. He wasn't planning to stay, but he did bring along a bribe of danishes and coffee from J,GOB.

He also had two pairs of shoes tucked under his arm, to present for inspection.

Wilson calmly pointed towards the lighter pair (both in color and weight) and took the angel's offering of cheesy danish goodness.

Aziraphale grinned happily and bounced headed off for home.

Only to return, a couple of hours later.

Wilson, reminded himself that he loved his mate and very calmly pointed out that wearing a handkerchief on the beach was a wee bit pretentious and certainly Phale would not wish to come across as putting on airs in front of their host.

Aziraphale tried to insist that tartan was stylish, and not at all pretentious, but eventually Wilson managed to adequately convey the idea that one did not need a handkerchief when one was an angel.

This crisis settled, said angel finally allowed himself to be shooed out of the young doctor's hair once more.

Likewise, at least early in the morning, Conner, although he was reluctantly getting ready to leave for the construction site.

"It's okay," Conner assured her. "Rather have you get better. 'sides, I'm only planning on working the morning today, if the Mountie's okay with it."

"Yeah, I get that impression," Conner said. "So it shouldn't be a problem, I hope. Don't go anywhere while I'm gone, okay?" he teased lightly, lacing up his work boots.

"That's my girl." Conner grinned and leaned over to kiss her before he got up. "I'll be back as soon as I can."
