Doogie was pleased to find only one patient left in the clinic, although he probably would have been happier if it wasn't the pretty girl who'd come in during his shift that was still hurt enough to stay.

Gwynn was here as she wasn't healed up enough from her chest would to have made good her escape. She would have blushed if she had known the doctor thought she was pretty, though.

Whereas Conner, still camped out by her bed, would've gotten scowly and a little glare-y if he'd known.

That, at least, was a sign that she was conscious -- Conner had a little bit of a paranoia that she might not be -- and comforting, so he squeezed her hand and relaxed just a little bit.
