Christian made a check of the patients when he arrived in the clinic that morning. A feedting tube and catheter had been added to Ami's IV since she wasn't showing any signs of awakening any time soon.

For no apparent reason he started thinking of Ava Moore and how she had seduced his son Matt. He wondered why that had popped into his mind.

For the first time that week Liz had managed to sleep through the night without waking up from nightmares. She was still sleeping but she could be woken if someone wanted to speak with her.

John's smile faded. "You have 'em too?" He sighed. "THey were getting better for me. Talked with 'Phale, started being social, they went away. Time helps. Projects. Curling up with someone--er, something familiar helps. And booze." John is NOT blushing, the room just looks pinker.

"See, that's what I don't get. Everyone gets nifty powers, and they can't control 'em worth a damn. Which makes 'em all pissed off and scared and whatever, which makes 'em MORE unstable and harder to control, the powers, that is... It's like the powers aren't an evolutionary step forward sometimes." John sighed. "THen again, all I have is the power to brood and angst a lot. Which sucks, unless we encounter a happy demon or something and I can emo at it. So... we gotta learn how to control your emotions?" John totally didn't notice the 'we' in there.

That was something that Liz hadn't been expecting and the only thing she could focus on what John had said was, "we?"

"It may have to involve such things as tickling or pranks to test your emotional threshold." He smiles a small totally not evil smile.

Liz only just managed to stop herself from freaking out at the mention of pranks, "I don't want to do any more damage..." she said softly.

Liz tensed slightly at the mention of parole but she replied quietly, "I don't know...maybe Monday morning, I think they're keeping me here over the weekend,"

Liz slowly got out of bed and went over to the window, "whoa," she murmured as she looked out, "I've never seen it rain that much," she said as she got back into bed.
