Conner's fists tightened in his pockets. Lana and Tori, and at least two more people if the other exam rooms were any indication. Something was hurting his friends, and a fellow Ranger, and this was not by any stretch of the imagination cool.
"Lana thought she'd been gone a week, too," he said, his voice low and flat with tension. "And she's lost a lot of weight. You must have been taken somewhere else, where time passes differently. And whoever did it, they didn't have good reasons."
