FTEC, Monday Morning

Elliot opened the clinic early Monday, did her usual check to make sure the beds were empty and the supply stockpiles were full, and then settled in for a round of gossiping with the NPC nurse. It was almost strange how she knew everything about the school.

The clinic was open, though it won't diagnose terminal embarrassment.

The Doctor woke up in the chair he'd fallen asleep in on Friday.

"...bloody hell, that was a weird dream."

Elliot blinked; she hadn't noticed the sleeping man when she came in. "Weird as in naked, weird as in school, or weird as in naked in school?" she asked.

"Weird as in I wasn't myself," the Doctor said. "And... what day is it?"

"Is your head okay?" Elliot asked, fluttering over to him and inspecting his pupils for dilation. "It's Monday. Um, January 22."

"That was officially the longest nap I have ever taken, then," the Doctor said. "Odd."

"We could probably run a sleep study on you," Elliot said, a little too enthusiastically. What, there wasn't much doctoring to do and she got bored. "Sounds more like a coma than a nap."

"I suppose there is another explanation," the Doctor said. "I mean, other than the coma theory. Not one for comas, me."

"Oh?" Elliot asked, reaching for a clipboard and looking interested. "And not many people are. We don't get too much demand for induced comas as a fun vacation alternative."

"Well, there is the option that it wasn't a dream, and I really was someone else the past two days," the Doctor said.

Elliot bit her lips. "Did you listen to the radio?" she asked. "because it kind of sounded like that was going around."

"Well then, that's our explanation," the Doctor said with a smile. "No coma or over-napping. Fantastic."

"If you ignore the fact you were someone else," Elliot shuddered. "And not in the fun dress-up way."

The Doctor shrugged. "Had worse," he said. "Now unless you have any more tests you want to run on me, I probably should nip off back to me time machine."

Elliot tilted her head. "No, I think you're good to go."

"Fantastic," the Doctor said, standing up and giving Elliot a nod. "Thanks for the concern."
