FTEC - Wednesday Day Shift [12/20]
Wilson had entirely expected to have spent the night in a sleepless and fractious state. Luckily, after a bit of a rest, Aziraphale had just the remedy for none sleepy doctors to exhaust them into a state of sleepiness.
Aziraphale's remedy had been a rousing successthree times even and so it was with a cheerful whistle and a gingerbread latte that Wilson opened the clinic this fine Wednesday morning.
Aziraphale's remedy had been a rousing success

He had the lunchbox housing his egg, and more importantly, his father's soul orb, in hand.
[ooc: leaving in ten minutes to catch a flight, so slow play is very much teh love, but I wanted to make sure Bel came by. :) ]

"Oh, good! You have no idea how happy I am to see that you made it back safely. Is everyone all right?"
[ooc: No worries, have a safe trip!]

"It's...the orb, I assume. Not the egg."
Being in Fandom had taught him not to make assumptions, though.

At Phale's most assuredly bewildered look, he added, "Ethics class project."
[ooc: now I go for real. *glomps*]

"Well, I imagine there isn't any safer place for your father's soul than to be kept where you're keeping your Ethics project/son. And I'm awfully glad to see that it all worked out. Er, no troubles getting back, I hope?"

He peered at Aziraphale. "Crowley?!" he said, flailing just a little. "What were you thinking?"
no subject
"Er...well, he was the only person I could think of who could get in and out without raising suspicions. Most of the people I know are here in Fandom!" he flailed back. "Or Above. Can you picture Gabriel trying to pull a stunt like that?"

That next sound you heard was a certain young doctor deciding that one of the exam rooms in the back needed his attention.
Coward much?

He noticed Wilson creeping off to hide in the exam room, and cast a little
pouty facefrown in the young doctor's direction."And...it did turn out just fine, didn't it?"

Considering that the angel had run into troubles of his own with Crowley in recent times, it was hard for him to say that everything was as it should have been. But all that had happened, he still believed in the demon's sense of fair play, if nothing else.

"I don't know much about these sorts of things," he admitted. "Before you go just breaking it, perhaps it would be best to do a bit of research, and make certain that the soul isn't somehow bound to the structure of the orb itself? And then...it might be good to actually do it in a consecrated place, like a church or cemetery. Just to make sure there's nothing to hinder the soul's journey once it's free."

Aziraphale laid his hand on Bel's shoulder. "I know that James and I are awfully proud of you."

"Would you like a bit of gingerbread or a spot of tea before you go, my dear?"

Now that Bel and his friends were back safely, Aziraphale was beginning to feel that all his worrying was unnecessary, and he gave the young man a cheerful smile. "And if you and Phoebe are around at all during the break, come by and visit with us. James and I both will be staying here in Fandom."
