Janet was brewing a pot of coffee and cleaning up in the office. Anything to avoid studying for finals.

Okay, so it took a little while for Nadia to get around to stopping in the clinic like she'd told Wilson she'd do that morning.

She had other things on her mind, dammit.

"Hey, I need a new brace for my shoulder?"

"Hey, Nadia," said Janet, looking up. She'd been reduced to flipping through her textbooks. "A new brace is easy enough to get. How are you feeling?"

"Fine. Well, other than getting a lecture on shoulder safety from Dr. Wilson this morning." Nadia picked at the shirt-sling. "My last one met with an accident."

[janet_fraiser]

"Oh, damn, that means I can't dispense a lecture of my own," said Janet, grinning. "That's a shame."

[nadiathesaint]

Nadia gave Janet a raised eyebrow. "Guess not. Sorry. I have been careful, though. I don't want to have to spend any more time wearing the brace than I have to."

"Well, that would be the other reason not to lecture you," said Janet, still grinning unrepentantly. "Dr. Wilson checked you over this morning, right? So you just need the sling?"

[nadiathesaint]

"Yeah, he handwavily did. Along with a lot of talk about tendons and soft tissue, which I didn't understand at all."

[janet_fraiser]

Janet nodded. "The simplest way of putting it is that if you feel any pain or stress at all, stop what you're doing." She went and started rummaging in a cabinet for a new sling. "And take ibuprofen if you start hurting. It'll reduce inflammation and stop the pain."

Nadia nodded. "Okay. That's pretty much what I've been doing."

[janet_fraiser]

"You seem to have a healthy dose of common sense," said Janet, pulling out a new sling. "That generally helps. Did Dr. Wilson recommend physical therapy, or does he not think you'll need it?"

[nadiathesaint]

"I don't remember if he's mentioned that. But he wanted to look at it again at the end of this week, see how it's doing."

[janet_fraiser]

"He may not have made any determination yet, then," said Janet. She held up the sling. "Need some help getting into it, or are you going to wait until you get back to the dorms?"

[nadiathesaint]

Considering the trouble that Nadia and Walter had had with it. . . . "I might as well put it on now, right? Sooner the better."

[janet_fraiser]

"Probably a very good idea," said Janet, adjusting the sling. "Come on over here and I'll handwavily help you out."
