FTEC - Saturday Night 10/14

Whistleing cheerfully, Wilson headed into the clinic for the Saturday night shift. He carried a maple latte in one hand and over his good shoulder rested his satchel. He was still grading papers from Thursday's test and also had a few crossword puzzles to entertain himself with if the evening was slow.

Setting everything down at the front desk, he started a pot of Kona coffee for the night, then unpacked his laptop and papers. A small radio also made an apperance quickly plugged in and dialed to a station that played classical, insturmental jazz and big band on Saturday nights.

Thus, he was settled in for a long, hopefully quiet, evening at the clinic.

Aziraphale wasn't so sure about the 'gross out' foods, but he nodded tentatively. "Well...I suppose we could have a costume contest. Who would judge it, though?"

He thought about the rather small space they had -- which could technically be enlarged, but that might cause the landlord some questions. "Do you think Miss Sciuto and...perhaps Miss Alianne might like to help out? They're only just a floor above."

"Oh! Oh, that's not a bad idea at all, love! We could have a place for them to just write down their votes, and tally them at the end of the night. And...as the hosts, we could have a special prize as well. Sort of a 'hosts choice'. We need to actually have some prizes, though."

Now he was really getting into the idea, which of course should have made sense to anyone who knew how much Aziraphale liked to plan parties. "Well, I was thinking that if they wanted, they could help host by opening up their own apartments as well. It would give us more room." Chuckling, he added, "Yes, I rather expect Miss Sciuto would enjoy the holiday, wouldn't she? What sort of food were you thinking of, love?"

Brain spaghetti...the angel could maybe see how that could be achieved with regular pasta. But...bug infested risotto?

"Er...bugs, love?" he asked, looking sufficiently horried. "I...you don't really mean bugs. You mean...something that looks like bugs, except not really like realistic bugs because...you want people to eat it."

"This, however, is not one of those countries," Aziraphale retorted, smiling. "All right then, love. I'll leave the cooking ideas to you. I haven't any idea what one does for a Halloween party anyway. Except dress up in costumes. I'll speak to the girls about our idea, and see if they're interested at all."

He finished off his own supper, and just waved the styrofoam containers into oblivion.

"So, you said you had some crosswords?"
