FTEC, Tuesday Night

After a cup of coffee and conversation with Janet, Natalie had forced herself to go home the previous night...even as much as she wanted to spend the day in the lab. It was necessary, after all, for the tests to run their full course.

The sun had barely gone down when she left and she found herself hurrying across town, careful to keep out of the direct path of the dimming light. Her laptop was deposited absently on the desk, her keys next to it as she made a bee line for the lab. Even the smell of rotting fish couldn't deter her.

She entered the lab and hastily pulled her hair back. Her hands were slipping into gloves even as she crossed to the case where her specimens waited. As her eyes glanced to the samples, however, her hopes fell; a lump rose in her throat as she withdrew them from the case and got her first glance since the night before. She sighed, shaking her head.

Nat tossed the gloves into the waste bin near the door.

A few moments later, seated at the desk, lab journal open, she wrote the following: After an initial positive reaction to the antihistamine complex, the vampire cells regenerated. Results were short lived, and might be used as a stop-gap, but would not be effective for long term use. Would perform subject tests only after all other avenues have been explored.

She gave a derisive snort. "And what 'other avenues' do you have left, Nat?" She capped her pen and tossed it onto the desk. It was going to be a long shift.

[OOC: Results of tests are NFB. That she's having a bad night is broadcastable.]
