Christian settled in at the front desk, wondering why there was a license plate there. He moved it aside and set up his laptop, surfing a few of his favorite adult sites.

Cameron dropped by the clinic, looking very much like he didn't need any medical help at all. Which might be because he didn't need any. He moved up to the desk, recognising the doctor who was actually in colour now.

"Yo, doc."

Christian slammed the laptop shut. "Hi," he said, remembering Cam. "What can I help you with today?"

"I have a bit of an odd request," Cameron said, frowning at the computer. He shook his head and looked up at Christian.

"Sure, what's on your mind?" Christian said. "I'm used to odd requests in my line of work."

"You are?" Cameron asked, clearly curious now. Then he remembered he was here to ask something. "A friend of mine is having a surprise party tonight and I'm supposed to keep her distracted so she'll be late for work while people can set things up. Now, she's the responsible type and I don't think it will work unless there's a good reason."

"You're not asking me to drug her, are you?" Christian said, raising his eyebrows.

"No! No, definitely not," Cameron said quickly. "I'm supposed to spar with her later today. I was thinking that I could fake spraining my ankle or something so she'd have to help me come here. I'd just need your help to pull that one off as I'm not exactly planning on really spraining anything. I hope."

River appeared in the waiting room after lunch, looking rather confused. She didn't have an appointment.

Christian quickly closed the laptop. "Can I help you?" he said to River.

River tilted her head and looked at him. "Yes. My brother thinks I should have regular appointments while at Fandom. To keep an eye on my health. Make sure the medication is ok."

"What are you being treated for?" Christian said, pulling out a notepad. "What kind of medications are you on?"

River gave him a nervous look. "They made experiments on me. Cut into my brain. My brother, he's a doctor too, saved me and put me on medication to counteract some of what they did." She put some bottles on the desk. "These are from the future. I got a note from my brother explaining what they do."

Christian examined the bottles, which undoubtedly contained things he'd never heard of. "I want to help you," he said, "but I'm not sure what these medications are. You say your brother is a doctor? And you've been taking these exactly like he told you to?"

When Cameron hopped into the clinic, holding on to Veronica's arm, he still didn't need any medical help but this time he was doing his best looking like he did.

Christian looked up from his laptop. He did a doubletake when he saw Veronica as he remembered their first encounter. "What seems to be the problem?" he asked. "Leg injury?"

Veronica rolled her eyes when she saw who was on duty.

"No, he hurt his arm and thought hopping might make it feel better," she said.

"Can it, sweetheart, and let me see to your boyfriend here," Christian said. He got up and opened a closet, pulling out a wheelchair and pushing it over to Cam. "Sit down," he said.

"Hey," Cameron protested, not exactly liking the tone but then he didn't want to say anything that would ake the doctor back out of their agreement. "Not the boyfriend," he finished lamely, plopping into the wheelchair.

"Let's take a look at you," Christian said. He wheeled Cam into Exam Room One (http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_clinic/175545.html?thread=5650617#t5650617) and helped him up on the table.

"We were sparring and I took a hit on my ankle," Cameron explained, looking unsure at Veronica over the doctor's shoulder. He somehow needed her not to run off just yet.

"Did she taser you?" Christian asked. He glanced over his shoulder at Veronica. "The nurse is out at lunch, so I'm going to need a little help from you here, sweetheart."

"Call me sweetheart again and you'll be the one getting tasered," Veronica replied. "What do you need me to do?"

"Hold his hand for now," Christian said. "Keep his mind off the pain. It's going to hurt while I examine the ankle." He gingerly pushed Cam's pants leg up and began to inspect the "injury."

"I'm fi-" Cameron started to argue, but realised that no reaction at all was a dead giveaway so he sucked in a breath and gritted his teeth.
