FTEC, Wednesday Night

Entering the clinic, Nat did a quick change out of her rain jacket and into a lab coat, draping her stethoscope around her neck. She then picked up the charts and made her rounds. That done, she settled in to the front desk with ~~Lappy~~ her laptop and continued working on her writing project. Hopefully she wouldn't be quite as distracted by it...

Natalie handed the monkey off to Pippi. "You're in no condition to travel." She eyed Walter. "Either of you."

Walter was pretty sure he'd heard that one before. "I'll get better just as quickly in the dorms as I will here."

Pippi took Mr. Neilson and he promptly disappeared into one of the huge inner pockets of her coat.

Pippi herself seemed terribly interested in the top of Walter's head.

"What he said?"

"And you're going to keep this up if you don't make it out tonight?" She folded her arms across her chest.

Walter put on his best "dealing with Alfred" face and nodded.

Must find out what brand of conditioner Walter uses...

Nat regarded them for a moment in the silence. "Fine. But I want you back here, Friday, for a check up." She crossed the room, unlocking the prescription cabinet, and pulling out the appropriate doses of anti-inflammatories, etc.

"I do not want to hear about you...adventuring...for at least two weeks. And by not hearing about it, I mean not doing it." Natalie looked to Walter. "Least of all you."

Is my reputation that bad? The thought that he'd been shot a couple of times didn't even occur to him as a reason she'd been singling him out on that one.

"Yes, ma'am," was his only response, though. She was letting them go. No point in arguing on the way out the door.

"Thank you Dr. Lambert." Pippi says holding an outer pocket of her coat for the anti-inflammatories but tries to close it before she gives the painkillers.

"You're welcome." She slips the painkillers in her coat pocket, behind her hand.

Nat then turned to Walter, handing him his medication. Focussing intently on the sound of his heart, reaching out with her senses, Nat spoke evenly, "You will obey the the doctor's suggestion. No adventuring for two weeks."

Walter nodded carefully, not taking his eyes off of the doctor. He'd been fascinated like this before, but not since leaving home. It wasn't really a connection he made at that moment, and in retrospect, he'd probably blame the pain medications.

Because right then, he was just going to go back to the dorms and avoid any major adventures.

Natalie blinked, breaking the connection. She looked to Pippi with a wary smile. "Straight to the dorms, got it?"

"Yes Doctor." she said. "Um... I you see Nadia? Make sure she takes some... 'Nadia-time'...?"

"I think that can probably be arranged."

"Thank you. See you Friday... Sorry about the mess."

She starts to push Walter slowly out, she takes her hat off and puts it on his head to afford some protection from any rain that still may be coming down.

"Have a good evening.

Shaking her head, Natalie moved off to start cleaning up after Pippi's guests.
