FTEC, Wednesday Night

Entering the clinic, Nat did a quick change out of her rain jacket and into a lab coat, draping her stethoscope around her neck. She then picked up the charts and made her rounds. That done, she settled in to the front desk with Lappy her laptop and continued working on her writing project. Hopefully she wouldn't be quite as distracted by it...

Bel helped set Joxer on the exam room bed and stood back to give Nat some room. "He gonna be okay?" he asked.

"He's got a strong pulse, so that's promising... No broken neck..." Nat said, as she gently probed around with freshly-gloved fingers. She shone a pen light in his eyes, checking his responses. "Iris dilation a little off...

"Fell down the stairs, you said?"

"That's what he said," Callisto replied. "Could hear it from my room. Way it sounded Joxer probably fell a good few flights."

Natalie shook her head, examining his scalp. "Looks like some trauma... going to be some lovely bruises there, I can tell..."

She looked up at Callisto and Bel. "I'll start him on a drip to keep him hydrated, and some medication, and he should be fine. That's a very nasty fall he took."

"He lives on the fourth floor, I think, but he hangs out a lot on the fifth," Bel said. "Either way, if he fell or was pushed from all he way up there, he's pretty lucky if he's just gonna end up with bumps and bruises."

Arching her brow as she prepared the drip, Nat shook her head. "Fools and ships named Enterprise," she muttered under her breath.
