FTEC, Wednesday day

Tommy did a quick check on all the patients - that Tyler kid still wasn't looking good, but comparatively speaking he was starting to look better - and then settled down at his desk to do the very important job of reading the sports section.

[ooc: OCD threads are up. I'll be at work most of the day so Tommy might be on slowplay. Comment notification is turned off for all you visiting types ;) . If you need Tommy, ping him in his thread. Need me, ping in the OOC thread. Thanks!]

Walter took the books and scanned the titles.

Moose Mating Calls?

"Thanks a lot. Things have been getting pretty boring down here."

"I really wanted to bring you something more educational, but with school being out and all...there's no homework." Blair is very sad about that. "So...uh... wheelchair? How're doing, man?"

"Kay."

"Yeah, pity about the no homework thing," Walter said, trying to make it sound like he might actually mean it.

"The legs work, people just keep yelling at me when I get up, so wheelchair. How's the craziness with the new students?"

"I don't even know if I've met half of them yet, man." Blair leaned against the wall. "There's a lot on my floor though, so I've just been meeting them in the halls. Jude and I are throwing a slumber party in the 4th floor common room tonight, so maybe I'll meet more people!"

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-05-17 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sounds fun. Maybe I'll successfully break out tonight and crash the party. Who's Jude?"

"See ya later, Pippi." Blair patted the edge of the mattress gently and waved before leaving.

"It should be totally awesome, we're going to have snacks and watch movies and do all the cool slumber party things." Blair bounced and then realized it might not be a possibility for Walter to come. "Or it could totally suck, you know."

"Jude? He's this cool Candadian skater dude. Very cool guy."

"That's brilliant, Blair. If I don't escape in time, there'll be other parties. It's summer, right?" And plenty more trouble to get into, too.

"You'll have to introduce me to your partner in crime once I'm out of here."

Re: Exam 4 - Walter Dornez

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-05-17 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"Tons of parties." Blair nodded eagerly. "Way better than slumber ones."

"I'll do that. And Dean too, he's pretty awesome. And Sakurazki is nice, although she does have a hang up about no one giving her a nickname."

"Thanks. And thanks for bringing these books down. I'd be climbing the walls if someone didn't keep coming by to yell at me for getting out of bed."

Walter used his feet to push himself in the wheelchair into Pippi's room. Hah! Can't yell at him for walking. He's not.

"You look as bored as I feel."

"Yup."

"Blair bought me a book on moose mating calls. A whole book."

"He asked me if I thought you'd like it."

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-05-17 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"No problem, man. Let me know if there's anything else you want. I have to swing by All & Sundries today anyway."

"And seriously, wheelchair-guy, climbing the walls isn't probably the best idea right now."

Re: Exam 3 - Pippi Longstocking

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-05-17 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"You never know when you'll want to call an excited moose?"

Re: Exam 4 - Walter Dornez

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-05-17 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's physical therapy. I have to keep in shape for the next time we all start singing at each other.

"Thanks for the offer," he said, trying not wince at the mention of All and Sundries. "If they have any puzzle books, that would be brilliant. I don't want to read everything about moose mating calls and have nothing left to do."

Pippi considered shrugging for the second time today and, also for the second time, decided against it.

"Stranger things have proven useful. They got whole songs (http://www.midcoast.com/~martucci/2nh/Moose.html) about such things."

"Like word finds and crossword puzzles?" Blair bounced. "Or mad libs! You seem like a guy who appreciates a good grammar-based game."

Re: Exam 4 - Walter Dornez

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-05-17 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
"Like that," said Walter, who had no idea what a Mad Lib was. "Thanks."

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-05-17 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Cool, I'll grab some stuff and bring it by later." Blair bounced happily towards the door. "See ya, man!"

"Nadia told me yesterday that the English have a song about how much they suck at football, so I'll have to believe the excited moose song, too."

"We going to start a footie hollie gang. You're welcome to join of course."

"Thanks again for the books and for stopping by. I'll see you later."

Walter flipped open the top book and started to read. Hm. He hadn't known that about moose.
