Natalie paused at the front desk to read over notes from the previous shift. Yuppie-ism was a disease? Chuckling, she closed the folder and placed it back in the rack. She was getting to the point where, after a few months in this town, very little phased her. Between the radio reports, the stories of snow monsters, and students battling demons, she was learning that suspension of disbelief was more than a quick turn-of-phrase -- it was a way of life.

Or unlife, as the case may be, she thought with a smirk. And with that, she settled in at the desk to transcribe her notes from the Tuesday night shift.
