Tommy took his Saturday night shift with his usual joie de vivre.

Anyone interrupting him tonight had better be dead or dying.

A tall, pale man entered the clinic, clad in a black shirt and pants which accentuated his pallor. Behind him, two equally dark-clad men followed, pushing a cart with a rather large box.

"Mister Gavin, I presume?" the man said, with no small amount of dark amusement.

Tommy gave the guy a once-over. "Billy Idol's dad, I presume?"

LaCroix arched a brow, taking a clipboard from one of the men. "A cheap imitation, I assure you." He smirked. "And it's really so much better to have the 'real thing' whenever possible."

And my sneer is, liek, so much better.

"It's Billy God Damn Idol," Tommy said. "About the only thing that'd be an improvement is shooting me in the head." He motioned to the box. "What's that?"

"This, my dear Mr. Gavin, is a gift. From a...friend." Snatching a slip of paper from the clipboard, he extends it to Tommy. The two men behind him remove the box from the cart and place it on the floor. LaCroix smirked. "I do hope you enjoy."

Nodding to the two men, he exits, followed by the heavy lifters and the cart. "Shows you, pal, I don't have any friends," Tommy replied to their retreating backs. Then he saw what the box held.

"Huh. But I could learn."

He settled in to enjoy his new toy.
