Christian opened the clinic Friday morning. He settled in the lobby, feet propped up on a chair, as he flipped through a copy of FHM.

"What's the problem, kid?" Christian said, looking up from his magazine.

"I was burned pretty badly on Monday, and I am leaving for the trip to England tomorrow. Mistress Weatherwax's pain medicine is going to run out and I thought I'd stop in for a doctor."

"Let me take a look at it," Christian said, ushering Walter into an exam room.

Walter strips off his waistcoat, shirt, and tie and takes a seat on the exam table.

"It itches like... well, you can probably guess what it itches like."

"I thought you said you were burned badly," Christian said, inspecting the burn. "This doesn't look too bad. Certainly doesn't look like it's less than a week old."

"I think I remember which day a robot tried to kill me with a laser," Walter said tartly. "I have a fast metabolism. Dr. House had some records on me."

Christian took Walter's pulse and blood pressure, and checked his heart. "Interesting," he said, "you do have accelerated vitals. The burn seems to be healing just fine, but I can give you more ointment and painkillers to help you along."

"Thanks. That's all I need." He'd probably only need the ointment, but who knew? "Can I get dressed now?"

"Sure," Christian said, writing out the prescriptions and handing them to Walter. "You can get these filled at NPC Pharmacy. Come back in a week or so so we can see that everything's healing okay."
