(no subject)

It's Monday. He's been sitting in the clinic all day, but kept the lights off and the on-call beacon on because his mun has to work he's feeling antisocial.

The desk is spotless, though he did take everything out of the trash can after his little cleaning spree on Sunday. He filled the drawers back up, and figures Wilson will have a difficult time finding *anything*, and he'll hear about it later, but it felt good to toss everything when he did it.

He's opened the doors, finally, and is at the desk with a red lolly, and a bottle of Vicodin sitting in front of him. Wilson's crossword puzzle book is there too, but he hasn't written one single word all day.

Dr is in, if you dare to see him

Alanna came in, her book over one shoulder and scowl securly in place.

[identity profile] threeweapons.livejournal.com 2005-12-12 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yup. And it means its time to to stop starring at it and do something. How are you feeling?"

[identity profile] threeweapons.livejournal.com 2005-12-12 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Alanna pondered taking the bottle away. "Better than you, though about to go off and spend a week as Squire Alan. Would you like anything?"

[identity profile] threeweapons.livejournal.com 2005-12-12 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"Gee, thanks." Alanna replied dryly. "I'll probably wish I was dead, with the parties, and the making nice, and dancing with the girls who want to hear all about my trip." She shivered. "And watching my every bloody movement to make sure that noone notices that I'm not a boy. How did I ever miss that?"

[identity profile] threeweapons.livejournal.com 2005-12-12 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Alanna laughed at the thought. "I think it's a bit easier for a girl to play a boy than vice versa."

((ooc: Gotta go back to class, back in three hours. Good timing! *g*))

[identity profile] threeweapons.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Alanna shook her head with a laugh. "Thank you! Now you went and got that image stuck in my head!"

[identity profile] threeweapons.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Alanna easily caught the bottle and stood up, accidentally startling her bag which angrily mewed. She coughed nervously. "Sure!"

[identity profile] threeweapons.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Alanna blushed and darted to the back closet, hoping that her cat would stay in the bag, literally.

[identity profile] lightningsword.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
Faithful nimbly jumped out of the back and yawned. "The good doctor is right, I'm bored." "You were supposed to stay in, Faithful!" Alanna sighed and sat back down, poking at the cat with her toe. "Sorry, he's not supposed to come out."

[identity profile] lightningsword.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Faithful stuck his tongue out at Alanna and lightly jumped up on to Houses's lap. "I like you."

Alanna groaned. "Well, I'm really not sure if I'm supposed to drag him around everywhere, so he's supposed to stay in my bag and nap. Dr. Wilson said it's all right as long as he doesn't see him, so, out of sight."

[identity profile] lightningsword.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Mrowr! A little to the left?" Faithful rubbed his head against Houses's hand.

Alanna sighed. "He's a wee bit spoiled." "Am not!"

[identity profile] threeweapons.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
House had a very happy cat in his hands. "Everyone likes Faithful." Alanna said. "And they're all very happy to show just how much they like him."

"That's because I'm adorrrable. And they think my eyes are 'nifty'".

[identity profile] threeweapons.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
Faithful happily purred while Alanna scoweled at him. "I don't keep him in my bag all day, just when I'm going somewhere where he might not be wanted. He doesn't mind, usually."

[identity profile] threeweapons.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Alanna nodded glumly. "I know how that feels."

((s'all right, sleep is important. I should know, I haven't got any.))

This was a swap, House in the Clinic all day and Wilson in the apartment all day. He'd been on the phone, follow-up work with Jack and just lost in his own thoughts.

And he'd kept expecting House to return but as the day continued and House seemed to actually be taking the idea of clinic hours for real, Wilson surfaced from the apartment.

Walking down the hallway the first thing that caught his eye was the desk. Blinking, he raised an eyebrow.

"Uh...tornado?"

[identity profile] dr-jwilsonmd.livejournal.com 2005-12-12 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Wilson tugged open one of the now empty drawers and he winced softly as he saw that all the supplies he'd so neatly filled the drawer with were gone.

"I really liked those pens." He said without any real rancor.

Exhaling softly he turned and sat down on the top of the desk, looking at the older man with quiet dark eyes.

"It was a no win situation. Young mother with mestasticized melanoma, a tumor in her brain had finally compromised all function leaving her vegetative but she's six months pregnant. Jack needed my help mapping out a plan to buy time for the baby without the cancer crossing the umbilical cord or killing the mother."

[identity profile] dr-jwilsonmd.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Wilson gently stroked his fingers through his lover's salt and pepper hair, leaning down to rest his cheek atop the older man's head and exhaling a gentle sigh.

"I'm sorry I couldn't take you, House." He whispered. "I could barely stand to go myself and I know we both have ghosts...I'm sorry, Greg...I couldn't be sure I could help you fight yours and face mine at the same time."

[identity profile] dr-jwilsonmd.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
Reaching an arm around the older man, Wilson held him close, pressing his face against the familiar comfort of House's stubbled jaw.

"I did get you lots of presents in New York."

[identity profile] dr-jwilsonmd.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
"You better buy me some new pens." Wilson said huffilly and then he sat back, wriggling a finger at House.

"And before you start tearing the apartment upside down looking for them, your gifts are in a safe place. I know how you are about sniffing out presents and they are not in the apartment...where I can't even hide changing my mind about dinner."

[identity profile] dr-jwilsonmd.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Wilson arched his eyebrows pointedly.

"You are so going to go snoop. I know you are. I expect it. That's why I went to Aziraphale. He's a master thwarter and you require a professional."

[identity profile] dr-jwilsonmd.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
Chuckling softly, Wilson caught his lover's face in between his hands and leaned down to kiss him, long and deeply.

After a few minutes, he whispered. "And you're still going to go snoop."

[identity profile] dr-jwilsonmd.livejournal.com 2005-12-13 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Of course I would." Grinning, lovingly at his friend, Wilson stroked his fingers across House's face and then reached to catch the hand in his hair.

"Come on. I want to snuggle and not out here in the reception area. There are game shows to be watched."
