The Counselor is in to talk to you about all of your problems, even if it's really just that you hate turkey or your mother.

Paige pokes her head through the door, "Jonathan? Can I talk to you professional?))

((I know how weird this is but Paige really has to talk to some one and Brenda's away))

Jonathan looks up at Paige in the doorway, he looks a bit scared for a moment but then it's gone, completely replaced by a professional and friendly demeanor.

"Hello Paige, please come in and have a seat," he says standing up and indicating the couch.

Paige rubs her head and sits down, she didn't really want to be here, but she needed to talk to someone.

"Thanks Jonathan," she said with a small smile, "I need to talk to someone about my need to protect people, I feel like it's driving people away."

"Okay," he says sitting back down, "And what is it that drives you to want to protect people? In your opinion."

She takes a deep breath, "it's the fact I'm part witch part whitelighter, it's what I'm meant to do, I can't help it, whitelighters are people who protect other witches and innocents, so I kinda have a two fold protection thing happening."

She looks up at him a little worried, she wasn't sure she should be telling him this, she did trust him though and doubted he'd use what he found out here against her elsewhere

"So, it's a genetic thing? It's not, perhaps something else? Something more psychological?" he asks her. He hates asking such leading questions based on knowledge he's gained about her in private conversation, but she is asking for help.

Paige looks at him again, "well maybe there's that too, I mean you know how I feel about how my parents died," her eyes tear a little, "so I guess if you factor that in with everything else...I just can't help it. Even if it ruins things for me in my personal life."

She also figured that was one of the reasons she'd been so drawn to him, the fact he looked like he'd accept protection and the whole S and M thing was a form of realise from her 'normal' life and he'd been willing to be take it, she couldn't really bring that up though.

"Well I would definately suggest your parent's death has a lot to do with how you act towards people. But it's good that you're recognizing that it's self destructive behavior. People don't like being told they can't take care of themselves and when you offer to protect them, that's exactly what you're saying," he tells her gently.

He nods slowly, "I know that but the thing is, in this place, there are some really bad people, like Loz, he's been threatening Sawyer and well, he can't protect himself against him, he's not even human."

She feels really crappy what she's about to say to Jonathan, cos she still cares about him "I can't lose him, I just can't."

She rests her head against the back couch,and sighs "so...any suggestions?"

"Well, why would this Loz person want to hurt him," he asks, completely unbothered by her statement.

She sighs again "Sawyer beat up Geoff for laying into me, Geoff apologised about what happened, so did Sawyer but Loz threatened to do the same to him, despire the fact Loz beat up Geoff himself a month or so back."

"He'd kill him, I know he would," she pauses "and it's all my fault."

"I wouldn't say you were completely blameless, but Sawyer also needs to learn that he can't solve everything with his fists. Are you sure he'll go after Sawyer?"

" Yeah I'm trying to tell him that, but...he's an old fashioned jackass, what can I say? And I don't know about Loz, I mean people were holding him back when I saw him last, but...I don't want to take the chance, I can't help it!"
