Clinic Hours - Monday November 7th 2005-

No matter what shape he or the Clinic was in...the clinic was open.

There would be the smell of freshly brewing coffee, the rustle of paperwork and perhaps even some music from the small radio Wilson had taken to keeping around to keep him company during the day.

Doctor on Duty, come bleed or beg coffee!

With a fractional tilt of her head for Angelus that promised truth and trust, Beka considered her response. If the good doctor was going to play along - since obviously sedating a headwound was about the stupidest course of medical treatment ever...

She tapped a finger against her lips, frowning pensively, while silently promising to bear the doctor's children if he wasn't gay and would help Bel. "Belthazor's strength and his inferenal stubbornness, made it impossible to treat him without sedation. As soon as you're confident of his physical well-being, he should be fine." Here she offered a wry smile. "I'll make myself scarce so he doesn't get fly into a rage when he wakes."

Wilson had a lot of theory and very little fact but years of racketing around with House had taught the oncologist how to investigate and speculate on a diagnosis with very little to go on. Blue Herons and the like.

Looking at Beka, he was tempted to tell her that she probably...wasn't the cause but rather a symptom of the problem. However, that would be revealing more than needed to be revealed. Instead, after a few breaths, he unfolded his lanky self out of his chair and walked over to the exam room, unobtrusively observing Bel and Phoebe for a few minutes.

"Sometimes all you can do is visualize the missing pieces of a jigsaw to be able to see the whole pattern."

It wasn't hard to see the way Bel was settling with Phoebe and it wasn't hard to make certain leaps of connectivity between the known and the unknown. Turning back towards Angelus and Beka, studying Angelus thoughtfully, Wilson walked back towards them and set his hands on his hips, asking Angelus directly.

"Is he one of yours?"

"Wouldn't be here if he wasn't," Angelus replied. "I can keep an eye on him if you need. ~~Got a leash and everything~~"

Wilson gave a nod, as if that was all he needed to hear.

"You need to." He said with a pointed casualness as he walked up to the desk where the file rested.

"He should come up from the last dose of sedatives in the next hour at which point you can take him back to his room."

Looking up at the pair of them, it was his turn to speak with looks.

"As with any headwound, he needs to be watched, constantly over the next 24 hours and I would extend that to the next 48 but that would be a perfect world sort of thing. If you notice any chance in his behavior, bring him right back in. I'm going to write a note for his teachers to excuse his abscence from class today."

Looking down he reached for a piece of paper and began to do, just that.

The doctor seemed to have come to some conclusions from the way he looked at her. She wasn't sure they were the right ones, from the speculative way he looked between her and him and Phoebe, but she really didn't care. So long as Phoebe and Bel didn't break, and Bel never had to tell Phoebe he'd tried to kill a witch.

She was tempted to ask for a note for herself, but that would reveal more about her emotional state than she really wanted to share. Instead, she nodded. "If he's done being an ass when he wakes, I'll help. Otherwise he's all yours, Angelus."

"I'm guessing Pheebs will help too," Angelus said to Beka. "Which is good, as I suspect there's an errand or two I need to run tonight. As for you - " he turned to Wilson. A smile shaped his lips. "Keep this up and I might accept you into the warm embrace of my inner circle."

"As always, let me know if I can help lessen your workload," Beka said smoothly. She offered the doctor a smile. "~~Can I watch?~~ Thank you for your understanding."

"You can catch me up on what I missed," Angelus said, giving her a look that said sooner was better than later. "You know, with my classes and such."

"Just so long as he isn't left alone." Wilson said straightening from the desk and he turned, holding a piece of paper out to each of them.

Come on Beka, first rule of covering the bases...cover all the bases with the same blanket so everyone stays on the same page and doesn't deviate enough to raise question. Translation...she got a note and an understanding nod in return.

"Somehow that thought fills me with a sense of lust disquiet." A gentle snark, though he returned the smile. He was trusting Angelus because House trusted Angelus but for better or worse...he was trusting Angelus.

[ooc: .... if you don't mind, I think that will be cleaner and then I can make a mention of giving Angelus, Bel's note in my next post. :D ]

"Doc," Angelus gave him a coy look. "Don't you know it's always better to be my friend than it is to be my enemy? And I do have so few that I would call friends."

"I do, Angelus. Believe it or not." Wilson looked at the vampire directly. "But I think you understand enough to know that I would do you no good as a spineless 'yes' man."

"You're right," Angelus said. "Which is part of why I like you. That and your big squishy brain."

Beka looked on with amusement as Angelus and Wilson proceeded to have much the same conversation she and Angelus had had Wednesday night. She retreated a few steps to give them privacy, but with note in hand, she had nowhere to be and Angelus would want answers, and catching up, as soon as possible.

"Well you know what they say about big brains." Wilson wasn't about to let on the rather disturbing image he had of Angelus playing Slinky with said brain.

He was peripherally aware of Beka as he held one last note out towards Angelus, figuring it was best for the vampire to take charge of Bel's note.

"Don't tell me this is one of those things where I've got to check off if I like you, yes or no," Angelus said as he took the paper from him.

"Nah, I'm not ready to ask questions like that and risk you bruising my poor itty bitty feelings." Wilson smiled good naturedly as he sat back down in the chair behind the desk, figuring that Angelus had read the short, to the point note and had answered his own question.
