Clinic Evening Hours, Nov 3rd
*DEATH is sitting at the desk, working on what appears to be somewhat ethereal paperwork while waiting for patients. He is wrapped from head to toe in robes of duct tape and has a rubber duck on his shoulder. He seems to be humming off-key, the duck chiming in periodically.
He's not the doctor, but he's the best medecine for many.*

Chest. Cold.""But if I kept it in how else would I get the Nurse to stab me in the hand with sharp metals?"

Pneumonia. Who's the doctor here?""Masochist," said Janet. "Be nice and don't stain the clinic's nice, white bedsheets. The blood won't match House's lollipops."

Chest cold. You're a worry-wart."Jack pulled a red lolly from the table next to the bed. "Wanna check?"
no subject
If you ever worry me that much again, I'll kill you myself.""Don't tempt me." Janet reached out for the lollipop. "I've heard stories about how grouchy House is. You two probably get along entirely too well, don't you?"
no subject
I've been worse.""Hey! My lolly! I haven't talked to him much actually, I usually do clinic hours at night so he's not there much, but he gave me a front-of-the-line pass after my application so I think he likes me."
no subject
I know, and I don't care. Don't do that to me again."How am I supposed to know if it's going to match the blood if I don't take a look at it?" asked Janet. "Your application? But you probably didn't-- You didn't turn in a serious application, did you? What'd you write on there?"
no subject
I'll try not to for a while.""Well I had to turn in a formal one (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandom_clinic/589.html?thread=4429#t4429) but I was given a front of the line pass the day before. (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/31810.html?thread=1127746#t1127746) I did make a different version but after seeing him wave that cane I decided against turning it in."

"Thanks.""You know, you and he get along entirely too well. And on that note, now that I know you're not at death's door,
pun intended,I'm going to go see if I can wrap my brain around this math independent study that Sam shanghaied me into."no subject
"Remember, I said try.""Ew math. Fine, fine, go. Be... nerdy."
no subject
"I know. But I have a supremely lengthy lecture in store for you that you really want to try to avoid, and that means successfully avoiding almost dying for a while.""Says the man that grabbed eagerly for the astronomy book." Janet laughed. "Your unintellectual facade doesn't fool me, you know. Besides, I'll be back later."
