Wilson had bloodwork to...work on. He needed to finish up with Red's and start running Jack's. He'd planned to do this the night before but errr got a bit distracted you might say.
He really was going to have to sit down and think about what had happened. Think about why he was here in the first place, why he'd left Jersey, why he'd walked away from PP-TH on an extended LOA to come and find his retired best friend. Then he was going to have to tackle the ramifications of sleepingin every sense of the word for those with sensitive noses with said best friend.
But not yet.
Wilson was still running, away from himself as fast as he could go and he wasn't ready to slow down and let the demons catch up with him yet.
Settling himself into the lab, the oncologist tried not to focus on how certain delicious aches were causing him to move carefully as he navigated his way around the equipment. He was only planning to be in the lab for a couple of hours but if anyone in the clinic needed him in that time he was more then happy to step -carefully!- out and help.
(Mun is here till about 2:00pmEST, then off on a trip with limited internet access, so if anyone wants to come and speculate, now's the time! :D)

"Erm death took some blood from me a while ago, something to do a plague which I'm pretty sure was made up, but well I wanted to know if he found anything else, anything wierd. My name's Matthews, Paige, Matthews"
no subject
"We do seem to spend a lot of time drawing blood."
The words left his mouth and from the look on his face it was obvious he hadn't meant to say that outloud.
Blushing softly, he smiled to Paige and pushed away from the counter.
"Let me see if I can find any record of results having come in. Matthews, you said? Two Ts?"

Flipping through the charts, he frowned slightly to himself.
"Hrrmm...I'm afraid I'm not seeing your chart here, Ms. Matthews. Is it possible that Death pulled it to call you with the results?"
And right there was a statement that most physicians would tell you, they don't tech you in medical school.

She puts her book down, "Maybe I'll just come back and sort this out with of the assistants?" ideally Lily she thought
no subject
"You do indeed have a file, with a very pretty pristine clean chart."
He flipped it open and showed it to her, it was very pretty, pristine and had no one mark on it.
"House hates charting. As for the plague, I imagine if it was the plague you would have noticed other symptoms by now, even if you were originally just a carrier. But, that said it's a well known fact of almost every medical practice that the nurses and the assistants have all the knowledge and generally keep us doctors in line so if you'd like I can leave a note for the assistants and have someone call you?"
no subject
or lack of itneeds to be on there I guess I'll just leave it. I can just tell them if I need to be treated right? And I know what medication I'm on and House didn't have a problem filling the presciption for me. So I guess I'm just wasting you time reallybecause I really don't want to go back to an empty house, sorry."no subject
Tugging a pen out of the pocket's of his jeans, Wilson leaned against the counter and began to make a couple of notes.
"Well, I fear it's more the other way around. I'm sorry I don't have those results handy, I'm afraid I'm still getting broken in to the whole routine here, which is why I think your suggestion of asking the assistants is a good one. Is there a good number where you could be reached?"

my cell (http://www.livejournal.com/users/the4thsister/3140.html) but to be honest I don't think I'll need to come in much
since I can heal myself. Erm if you can just make a note that I'd like talk to Lily Evans if I have to talk to anyone though that'd be great."no subject
He considered making a remark but just as quickly shuffled it aside as unimportant. If she wanted to be angry at him...well she sure as hell wouldn't be the first.
"I'll make sure that Lily has your cell number and that your request to only be contacted by her is disseminated through the office. Can't say that House is going to follow the rules, very unlike him after all but we'll try our best to abide by your wishes, Ms. Matthews."
no subject
She bites her lip, "it's not a problem that I'd rather speak to Lily is it? It's just she understands my, erm, situation better than some of the people here might. If it's a problem it's not that important"
no subject
"Many people request a particular contact procedure or like to deal specifically with someone who they are comfortable with. I'll make the note and while I can't promise it will always be followed to the letter if other factors warrent, I'm sure people will try their best to honor your request."
Looking around on the counter, he ferreted through a drawer until he surfaced with a worn looking highlighter.
"Ah hah! Okay, so... Lily is preferable but House is acceptable as well?"

Dark eyes flicked back up to Paige's face and the smile grew into something that was obviously poking fun at himself.
"Well...I'll be honest with you Ms. Matthews, most everybody I've met here, except for Dr. House has...exceeded my expectations you can say. I'm getting comfortable with the idea that people are more than they seem and that I'm woefully behind the learning curve in understanding everyone's unique situations."
Flipping her chart closed, he folded it in his hands and grinned at her.
"However...I am trying, if you wouldn't mind helping me a learn a little?"
no subject
She thinks a moment, "that's about it I think, only my in case emergency person should be Geoffrey Chaucer." She pulls a bit of a face "good luck getting used to this place, like everyone says, it's kinda wierd."
no subject
"So...the healing seems to work best when it's turned outwards? Rather then you being regenerative yourself?"
Instead of commenting to the state of weird, Wilson cracked open the file and wrote down Geoff Chau...
"The writer?"
no subject
When he asks about Geoff she beams with pride, "the poet and author, yeah that's the one. We're living together. See this place is a good weird! For us at least."
no subject
Note made, Wilson leaned back and pursed his lips pensively.
"Well...in that I am certainly no expert, it would make sense that you'd be adept in one form but not the other. 'Physician, heal thyself' only it doesn't work quite that way."
no subject
Paige grins, "so do I he writes some beautiful poetry and he's available for commission," she adds hoping to get him a little more work, "he hasn't made his fortune yet unfortunatly. So is there anything you need to know? My other powers or anything?"
no subject
"Probably, but honestly Ms. Matthews, I wouldn' know where to start with the questions."
(Actually he would have questions but I've got to head out here shortly :/)
