George paused just outside the doorway, her breath catching in her throat when she sees Jayne sprawled inelegantly on the cot, with Hank fussing over his IV and Bagoas standing over him with a look of panic. She'd heard through the grapevine that Jayne was in a bad way, and thought to come tease him. Well. That's out. she thinks to herself, ignoring the fact that what she was feeling was remarkably like jealousy. Looks like he already has enough admirers. I'm sure Elizabeth is already on her way.

Without a word, she begins to back out slowly, hoping that no one notices her exit. Oh, well. Dinner dates are highly overrated, anyway.
