After giving on trying to do her homework in the study hall, Alanna wonders back into the clinic. After one last glance at her homework, she goes back to what is quickly becoming her favorite activity: shooting pencils at the ceiling.

He rubs a hand over his face and heads out to the clinic, to check on things there. Seeing Alanna, he sighs. May as well get it over with.
"You needed to see me?"
no subject
Yes sir. Um, do you remember the day the boy who got bitten by the thing came in and I healed him? Well, um, do you know anything about magical healing?

*House pops a Vicodin*
Unfortunately, we do not have people with skills such as yours where I come from. The only knowledge I have is from fantasy books and movies.

The problem is, I should have been fine by morning, but I wasn't. I healed another girl last night, it was a small cut really, and it took more out of me then it should have. The last time something like this happened, there was an epidemic. I have no formal training, maybe this is normal for Gremlin bites?
no subject
Maybe. I have no idea. I need to get my hands on one of those critters and see what I can find out. Until then, it looks like a big unorganised game of trial and error.
Oz is a werewolf. Maybe the combination of healing a wolf and the gremlin bite...
*Lacking a whiteboard, hosue grabs a piece of paper and sits down to make a list*
Tell me what we know.

Weakness
Headache?
What else?
no subject
No headaches. Um, I also train for a few hours each morning, and had a spar with another girl last night. Which is how I wound up having to heal her. And she tossed on me on my back, so sitting is now a sore subject.
I'm just really tired, and my Gift won't isn't at full use.
Suddenly she throwns. Damn him!

You know what's going with you better than I do, Alanna. But I'll run some tests if you want. I don't know how conclusive they'll be, because I don't know what we're dealing with.
no subject
In that case, neither of us have any idea. But I do want to bug my twin brother tonight, this does sound like something he would either do or know something about.
Or maybe I just caught a cold and it's manifesting itself like this. What kind of tests do you want to run?
And do you know somewhere I can light a fire and not be disturbed for ten-twenty minutes?
no subject
*House shrugs*
Didn't know you had a twin brother. Is he in school here?
What's the fire for? *Gotta know that before he'll consider helping ehr find a spot*
no subject
How soon can you do the tests?
no subject
no subject
All right, and hopefully one of the two will have some sort of a result. And I promise I won't set anything on fire, the Duke would have my head for being so careless.
((Alanna is going to talk to Thom in this thread, cause I am very lazy))
no subject
*House gets the needle and collection vial, and everything he needs. He takes the sample quickly, and puts a bandaid over the spot*
Go. Talk to your brother. I'll probably have the results when you come back.
[OOC: *Nods* Any preference on how the blood test comes back?*

Alanna heads outside and begins to gather everything she needs for a fire. Ten minutes later, she has a rather nice campfire going and she tosses in a pintch of a herb she carries with her. The fire flares for a moment and turns purple.
Come on, Thom. Be awake. Be useful. Don't be the one causing this, okay?
((A light cold/flu. I don't know how/if that will show up in her blood.))

Thom?
Yeah, great to hear from you too.
I'm just great.
Have you been doing anything lately?
I've been feeling, well, off, and my Gift has been flaky.
Uh huh. You didn't answer my question, Thom.
Thom.
Okay, anything else?
And?
And?
And?
Thom, two more minute and I'm going to figure out a way to talk to George and have him talk to you.
THOM! Couldn't you have told me that to begin with?!
Fine, I am calm. And the next time I see you? You're dead, dead you hear!
Thom? Thom!
Stupid brat.
Alanna stands up, puts her fire out and stalks back into the clinic.
How does it look, sir?
no subject
Red blood count is a little low, but nothing serious.
Looks like you might have a slight cold. Maybe the beginning of the flu.
How'd your fire chat go?
no subject
Well, that actually explains a lot. Thom gave a long list of possible reasons. And then told me that he's been leaching some of my Gift to make a sort of phone for me to use. Only he didn't think I'd notice. "It's not like you use your Gift anyway!" He's very dead when I get home.
But yes, thank you for your help, sir.
no subject
You want antibiotics for the cold?

no subject
Got it. And I think I'll pass on the getting beat up for practice part of my day as well.
no subject
No go on. Go get some sleep. Or whatever it is you young people do when you've over done things.
no subject
I'll just hang around here. My other option is snapping at people. So if you don't mind, sir, I'll just stay here and read some of the books.
Ignores the pencil collection in the cieling.
((Alanna needs to stay in the clinic.))
no subject
Don't bother me if anyone stumbles in.
[OOC: Sure thing. I'm heading off to bed very soon]
no subject
And I won't.
