When Will arrived at the clinic, the nurses (and Stabby) were clustered around a laptop near Stabby's tank.

"What're you looking for?" he asked.

"More crab games," one of the nurses said. "We had a lot of fun yesterday. So far the only other one we could find involves hunting crabs though, so that's obviously out."

"Obviously," Will nodded. "S-crab-ble?" he suggested. At that, all the nurses turned to give him identical withering looks.

"No," said one.

"That's terrible," said another.

"Maybe," Will said slowly, "instead of playing games you could... do some work?" especially since Stabby was apparently on the payroll. He ought to contribute somehow! That statement, however, just earned him another set of withering looks.

I'm so tired. Which is not new. Just constant.

Liz had been ~~very handwavily~~ coming into the clinic for her checkups the last couple of months and now it was time for her latest one.

So she and Prompto arrived after lunch for her check up, “hello?” she said, as she held his hand and made her way to the front desk.

Steph walked in like someone on a mission and headed right to the front desk. Planting both hands with her palms flat against the desk, she announced, "Will. Doctor. Hi. I have a very serious inquiry to make."

Will led Liz and Prompto into the exam room and waited for Liz to get settled. "How are things going?" he asked.

"Liz, hey!" Will said with a grin. "Three weeks to go, huh? You know the ~~super handwavey~~ routine by now, let's get you into an exam room."

"Steph. Game shop owner. Hi. I have... a very serious answer for you? Possibly?"

“They’ve mostly been going well,” Liz told him as she got settled, “I have been getting more tired lately, I do have nights where I can’t much sleep,” she added.

"Let's hope so," Steph said, still looking serious although there was a hint of mirth in her voice. "Actually, the question is technically for Stabby but I'm not sure if I should go through you for that first."

“That’s about to be expected,” Will told her, as he started the various ~~handwavey~~ checks and tests to see if the baby was doing as expected. “You’ve been keeping up with the mild exercise? And taking naps during the day?” he asked.

“I have been,” Liz nodded, “I’ve been trying to do longer walks when I feel up to it but I have been getting rather tired, I do try to do at least daily walks,” she added.

"Not every day someone walks in saying they've got a question for the crab," Will said, though given this was Fandom statistically this was probably not the first time. "Hit me. Or him. Not literally."

"Good, good," Will nodded. "Don't overexert yourself, of course, but if you're feeling up to it those daily walks will do you a world of good."

"I'll be careful," Liz told him, "I've been quite liking the walks so I do try and go on them when I can,"

"Good," Will nodded. "Glad to hear it. Everything else going well, preparation-wise?"

"It is," Liz smiled over at Prompto, "Prompto painted the nursery and I've just got a little bit more to do on the crib and then that will be finished as well,"

"How about a name?" Will wondered. "Is that picked out yet or are you waiting to meet her first?"

“We don’t have a name yet,” Liz told him, “I think we’re going to wait a bit longer before we decide on one,”

"That's fair," Will nodded. "I've seen couples who thought they had the perfect name picked out only to change their minds last minute. Just don't wait too long," he added with a wink, "or she might start responding to 'hey you'," he joked.

"I am honestly surprised I haven't had to report on it yet, now that I think about it," Steph admitted. "So my question is: is Stabby like an official member of the clinic staff? And if so, he's not bound by any contracts saying he can't give a product endorsement if he wants to, is he?"

She paused and shrugged broadly, even comically.

"Yeah, no, I can't believe I'm asking this even halfway seriously either."
