Fandom Clinic; Thursday [12/15].
Libby was running a little bit late for work that day, but she didn't come empty handed! It was just that she was trying out a new recipe for cupcakes, and they just took a little longer than she expected.
"They have zucchini in them!" she told them cheerfully, although they really wish she hadn't. "Vegan and gluten free, too! They taste way better than regular cupcakes, anyway."
She said, as if she'd ever really had regular cupcakes, and, in the rare cases she had, they were so cloyingly sweet she could barely eat any of it.
But she settled in at her desk, after taking a moment to remark on how fancy Stabby was looking, with his nice top hat and cane. "Does he have a date later on?" she wondered, turning just the faintest bit pink at the word date.
"No," one of the nurses explained, "he's going to a brine tasting."
The lack of a rim shot there just made Libby wonder if they should get Stabby a drum kit, and then her attention shifted to the computer, where she would spend the rest of her morning being incredibly frustrated and confuses as to why her "l.forrester" login for her study modules wasn't working, and she put on a little Led Zeppelin to help keep her calm as she tried to figure it out.

Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"Hey there. Doing anything after your shift today?" he asked with a small wink.
Was Kurt showing off how good he was getting with the shapeshifting again? Yes. Yes, he definitely was, though he was pretty sure Libby knew it was him and not actually the barista from The Perk.
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"As a matter of fact," she then declared, doing a poor job of tucking that grin away as she straightened up very importantly and tried to look very serious, "I am, thank you. I was planning on hanging out with my boyfriend," and oh how using that word still managed to fill her up with little excited butterflies, even a week after she'd finally bit the bullet and asked him out officially, "actually."
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"Oh, then I guess it's my lucky day because I was hoping my girlfriend (yeah, that really felt nice to say) would be free on her lunch break." Kurt lifted up the bag with a grin "Broke out some new recipes I need an expert's opinion on."
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"Always," she reported, pushing her chair away from the desk to pull that second chair up to the desk for Kurt, patting the seat to coax him into it. "I can't seem to log into the computer today, anyway, for some reason, so I've had nothing but time."
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
He looked at Libby for a moment, still trying to somewhat convince himself that they really were dating and that she had finally actually asked him out. Kurt didn't know if the butterflies and giddy feeling would ever die down and honestly, he would be perfectly happy if they never did.
"Time to ourselves sounds like a great way to spend a work shift," he said with a grin.
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
He gave Libby another wink and turned his attention to the food for a moment.
"Hope you are hungry! Got some new dishes for us to try this time! We have some vegan meat balls, veggie tower stacks, a bit of cahsew and fig dessert and some hibiscus rose latte."
Overboard? Maybe, but Libby would always be worth it. And it didn't hurt that Kurt loved being in the kitchen cooking.
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"This is going to be amazing," she remarked. "And it's all vegan, too?"
She'd always been vegetarian, of course, but she was really trying lately to make that push into full veganism, ever since she read an article about the dairy industry that had her crying for about a full hour afterwards.

Her attention then shifted to the cutlery drawer, opening it veeerrry carefully, in case of coffee, and then plucked out a few plastic utensils.
"We really should think about starting to keep less disposable utensils around," she noted, as he handed some over to Kurt, "but I get how it could be a sanitation issue. I hate wasting so much plastic, though. Eventually, our whole planet will be nothing but plastic, cockroaches, and Twinkies."
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"Well, we can always get a couple of sets and I can wash them up easily enough afterward. I'm already washing bowls and containers. Couple of sets of spoons and forks won't really make it any harder."
And now Kurt's grin shifted slightly as he realized he might have just figured out another little gift to get Libby.
"I can probably get some nice sets ordered at T&C. I can just bring them with me each time. Can also get some reusable straws too while we are at it!"
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
She grinned at Kurt, though, scooting her chair just a little bit closer so she could nudge his shoulder with her own.
"We could just stick to foods that don't need utensils, and just eat with our hands like cavemen."
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"Aye, I could find some good finger food recipes I am sure," Kurt said with a grin. And speaking of hands, he was resting his on the desk, as close as he could get to Libby's without actually touching.
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"Maybe food we can eat using just one hand," she suggested, giving his hand a squeeze to show why their other hands might be otherwise occupied.
And now everyone in the clinic was getting diabetes.
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
And it was a good thing that Libby was not very busy today because there was a good chance it would take quite a lot to get them apart at this point. And he was perfectly fine with that!
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"How was your morning?" she asked. "You didn't spend all of it in the kitchen, did you?"
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"Eh, just a couple of hours. Didn't have class this morning so had the free time. Figured I'd make the most of it and make something really nice for our one-week anniversary. (yes they were totally going to be counting weeks nad months for a bit at least.) What do you think of it?" he asked with a nod towards the 'meat'balls.
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"A couple of hours?" she gawked a little, with a flabbergasted laugh and a shake of her head. "I could never spend that much time just cooking things."
Anything longer than half an hour, she just tended to drift off with daydreams, which is why she always picked dishes duty back home. Far less chance of forgetting something on the stove or in the over and burning dinner to a crisp!
"But definitely worth it," she assured him. "These are really good, Kurt."
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"I like cooking and it's always fun making things for someone who means a lot to you. And besides, we'd make a good team in the kitchen. Tag team the meals and enjoy time together. Sounds like a win-win." For ya know that hopeful future time when they were more than just newly dating love-sick puppies.

Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"I'll miss you, too," she added, her smile a little softer. "I know my parents won't mind if you want to come visit, but I know you have your own holiday stuff to take care of, too..."
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"It's funny," she said, "I always thought I hated labels and how restrictive they'd feel, but I think I actually really like this one.
"You know," she added, "I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind if I took some time to visit you, too. If we plan it right, we might not have to miss each other at all!"
Re: The Front Desk - 12/15.
"Oh we definitely could! You can come with me for the first part, and then I can come with you to visit your family!"
