FTEC, Monday [11/21]

Ronan wasn't on the phone this morning, but it was never far from his side as he moved about the clinic, double-checking stock and making notes for anything that might need topping up. Whatever was happening, Ronan was going to make sure that the clinic was ready for it.

While replying promptly to any text that came his way.

Raven rarely visited the clinic unless there was some sort of island-wide emergency and she was needed to help out. She never got sick, after all, and if she were to somehow be injured and couldn't heal herself, she'd go to Karla.

But she woke up that morning feeling even more tired than she had been previously, and she couldn't pinpoint any physical reason why. She didn't want to worry Karla or Jono if it was nothing and it was just something like stress, so after managing to drag herself to class, she swallowed her pride and decided to visit the clinic. Just to prove nothing was wrong. And then Dana wouldn't get upset with her about ignoring her health!

"Hello," she said as she stepped into the clinic. "I would like to be examined, please."

Raven sat down, feeling a little self-conscious and awkward at seeking out another healer.

"I have not been feeling entirely like myself," she said. "I have been very tired lately, but I cannot discern a physical cause."

"I am half-demon," Raven said, just a touch apprehensive. She didn't hide it anymore, but she still feared strong negative reactions from people when they learned what her father was.

"I am a healer as well, but I could find no physical reason for my exhaustion. I thought perhaps it was stress?" She had been under some considerable stress, and it seemed a convenient thing to blame.

"I unfortunately have never been able to discuss the nature of my demon blood with my father," Raven said apologetically, "for his sole intention for me was to bring chaos and destruction. I had always believed I was the only one of my kind, though recently I have learned I have six brothers who are half human like myself."

She chewed on her lip, wondering what might be relevant to tell Ronan. "My brothers are hybrids like myself, but I am more powerful than they. Each of us allegedly embodies one of the so-called Seven Deadly Sins; I am Pride." Surely Ronan never would have guessed that from her earlier comment. "But as far as I understand it, they are not able to heal like I am, or affect emotions beyond their particular Sin. I alone can manipulate any emotion and control pain and injury. And I do not think they can teleport between dimensions as I can."

"I was trained at an early age to separate my soul from my body," Raven explained. "And it enables me to transport myself, and others with me if I wish, across dimensions. The goddess Azar trained me herself." She totally wasn't bragging.

"I am not certain exactly how it works," she admitted. "It just...does."

Raven nodded, folding her hands in her lap. "I have been, yes," she said. "I went to my boyfriend's world just a few days ago. I had no real difficulty, but it did not feel exactly right."

"I have already promised Karla I would take her to her home," Raven said. "She is concerned about what has been going on, and there could be useful information to find there. But if I feel it would be too dangerous to her, I would refuse, of course."

Too dangerous to Karla, of course. If it were dangerous to her, that might not stop her.
