FTEC - Monday Day Shift 5/14

Wilson was still pretty wrung out from the events of the past weekend but he still motivated himself to get pulled together and down to the clinic.

Leaving Aziraphale back home so the angel could get some much needed rest, Wilson checked in with the on duty nurse and then went to unpack his laptop and set up at the front desk.

He made it about an hour into his journal article before he gave up and went to stretch out on the waiting room chairs to rest his eyes for a bit.

Having gotten up early so he could get down here and hopefully still be on time for his first workshop, Billy came into the clinic hoping for good news about his ribs.

The nurse, who was setting a clipboard of forms on the desk for Wilson to sign, cleared her throat in a noisey manner to wake the dozing physician up.

"Huh? Oh!"

Levering himself up into a sitting position, Wilson smiled at Billy.

"Good morning, Billy. What brings you by today?"

"Sorry to disturb you doctor." Billy grinned. "I got into a bit of a scrape a week or so ago, and wound up with some cracked ribs. Dr. Howser patched me up, I just thought I should come in and see how they were doing."

Wilson held the door open for Billy and waved him up towards the exam table.

"Have they been bothering you?" Wilson asked as he moved to stand.

Motioning down the hallway he waited for Billy to walk ahead.

"Let's go down to exam one (http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_clinic/328058.html?thread=8219002#t8219002) and I can take a look."

"They complained a bit when I moved into the cabin, but mostly they've felt okay." Billy said as he followed the doctor.

Billy complied. "Yeah my duffel bag was more weight than they'd been used to lately I guess."

"Have you experienced any sharp, localized pain?" Wilson asked as he began to check Billy's torso for signs of fresh bruising or other discoloration.

"Nope, just in my ribs. And I've been careful not to strain them."

"That's the best thing you can do for them," Wilson agreed as he completed his check and stepped back.

"I'd say if you keep with the careful handling and don't strain your torso for another couple of weeks, that should give your bones the chance they need to heal up completely. But if you experience any sudden sharp onsets of pain, you should come down here immediately."
