Saturday Morning/Early Afternoon

After a hot shower and a breakfast of toast and Lavender tea, House went into the clinic. He refilled the bowl of lollipops, all the red ones suspiciously missing.

There was also a bowl of bell shaped Butterfinger candies set on the desk. And coffee brewing in the pot, the sweet Christmas blend mixing with the vague scent of sandlewood from Wilson's recent cleaning spree.

Elizabeth was wincing slighly as she limped towards the reception desk. "Morning."

"Mornin'" House looked up. "I have a feeling this isn't a social call." He gave her a little bit of a smile. "What's the problem?"

Elizabeth looked a bit sheepish. "I think I pulled something whilst running last night," she said. "Lower leg, probably the calf muscle."

"Think you can manage a couple more steps? Exam One's open." House stood, grabbed his cane and a clip board.

"Sure, no problem," Elizabeth said, as she followed him, favoring her right leg.

"Hop up." He gestured at the table. "Have you been seen in here before?"

"Yes, sir," Elizabeth replied, pulling herself up on to the table. "I was seen by one of the clinic assistants for vaccinations, and I spoke with Dr. Wilson briefly about birth control."

House nodded, took the patient information pages off the clip board. "Fill this out while I go look up your file." He handed her the clip board with the page for current information.

He had no doubt WIlson would have all the files in order and he'd be out of the room less than five minutes. He returned with the file, absently scanning it.

"All right. Muscle strain, brought on by running?" He asked, just to verify.

Elizabeth quickly filled in the page in clear handwriting.

She nodded. "Yeah," she confirmed. "It twinged a bit last night, but seemed okay. But then this morning it was pretty sore."

House sat on the exam stool and moved in to examine Elizabeth. "It's a little swollen," he commented. "Wiggle your toes? Bend and straighten."

A nod. "Most likely a muscle strain." You've strained the muscle, Greg. Nothing a little rest and heat therapy won' cure. Go home. There's nothing we can do for you here.

He pulled out his perscription pad. "I'm going to give you a muscle relaxer, and suggest you put heat on it, keep it elevated. Try not to walk on it if you can help it."

Elizabeth nodded. "Okay," she said. "How long should I keep off it?"

"Two days at least. After that, use your judgement." House tore off the perscription and clipped it in her file, since he was going to give her the pills, anyway.

"And come back, immediately, if anything seems like it's just not right." Not that he expected a blood clot in her calf. But, he was sensitive to muscle strain misdiagnosis.

A curvy brunette of about average height stomps in. She's wearing boots about a size too large, pants and a tunic that sort of fit and a flight jacket that's obviously cut for a tall man.

"I need to see one of the doctors," she barks.

Elizabeth nodded and slipped carefully off the table. "Thank you very much, Dr.," she said.

House looks up, and looks mildly annoyed at the interruption and the tone. But, it's his job requirement to be polite, at least at first.

"Are you a student here?" He asked, simply because he figured it would annoy the lovely lady.

"Han Solo. I should be in your record under the Junior class."

"You're welcome, Elizabeth. Wait right here while I get your perscription." He limped out of the room, returned with a small brown bottle. "These may cause drowsiness, so take it easy, okay."

"Han Solo. Right." House made a face, but went to retrieve the file.

"And what seems to be the problem today, uh, Mr Solo?" House gave him a look. Another gender bender case. And he'd done so well with Girl!Jake. He'd comletely mucked that one up, had had no idea where to begin.

"I seem to be a girl." Han matches his tone with an edge of mockery. "I wasn't a girl when I went to bed last night. I haven't eaten anything I didn't cook myself, so it's not cafeteria food. Can you fix me?" She looks just a little desperate. "Coming awake with Coach Ash ogling my chest does not make a very flamin' good day."

"No, I imagine that would not be a pleasant way to wake." House made a face. "Go to Exam Two, I'll see what I can do." He scratched his neck. This was not good. Not good at all.

Elizabeth took the small bottle, nodding again. "Will do. Thank you."

Han sits on the table in exam 2, completely out of sorts. When she hopped on the table it was too high, and her feet are now dangling in a very childish way. She takes off the flight jacket and waits for instructions.

House sits on the exam stool and ponders. "Okay. I'm going to do a quick basic exam. Just to make sure..." He said and let the rest trail off.

"What did you do yesterday? You go anywhere you've never been before? Do anything different?"

"Okay. I went to class, went to Wonka's. Only thing I did any different was hung some garland and mistletoe because Tonks and Maia were too short to reach. Tonks kissed me. Other than that, I went home, studied, did the radio broadcast and went home with my lover."

Han shifts. "A few things you should know about that baseline exam. I'm not quite human. You're gonna hear some weird stuff with my heart cause it's got six chambers."

"All right." Well, at least Han told him that.

"You do realise my knowledge is all human. I've treated a few non humans, but it's hit or miss. They don't teach us this stuff where I went to school."

House made a few notes in his chart.
