Sinking: Monday Night into Tuesday Late morning FH TIME (Slowplay if needed due to timezones)

Maia's body felt like it was plunged into ice water, she gasped for breath, the coldness was seeping up into her chest, Maia gasped again trying to keep it from go higher. Her head went under the ice water feeling and she screamed. "Where are you friends now? Your witch friends, your lover, your gardener? They've all left you Maia. They've all left you and I am the only one here with you now.

Maia gasped for air "They're h-here" Maia shivered "They w-won't leave me alone." Maia's voice shakes from the cold. "Th-They will get me out of h-here."

The voice laughed and the icy feeling stole over Maia's face and brain once again.

"I'm here, Maia," Tara says quietly, sliding next to her and resting her forehead against Maia's. "I've got the spell, and Doctor Wilson's going to help us tomorrow. Will you be ready?"

Maia is gasping "Y-you came" shivers "I k-knew I t-told it you would c-come" Maia is breathing hard struggling to talk.

"Of course I came, honey," Tara soothes, wrapping her arms around Maia to share her body heat. "And I'm going to come take you home, okay? If you can be strong for just one more night, I'll have the spell ready Tuesday morning - that's tomorrow - and I'm going to bring you home."

"S-see" Maia says to the voice "Sh-she is going to take me out of here. She came for m-me. She came." Maia finished in a whisper. She feels warmth from Tara and holds onto that thought "It said you wouldn't c-come for me" Maia said to Tara.

"It lied," Tara says simply. "I'll always come for you, Maia. It took me a little while to figure out how, this time, but I'll always find you."

"When you find me" Maia whispers again "Will you keep me there, out of the dark and not let me slip back. I saw you, the other day but I-I fell back into the dark. Will you keep me out of the dark Tara?" Maia tried to draw closer to the warmth she knew was coming from Tara. "The thing you found, its going to work to keep me out of the dark?"

"When I find you," Tara assures Maia, her voice pitched low, "I'm going to take you by the hand, and I'm going to lead you out. The dark can't take you back unless it takes me too - either way, you won't be alone."

Maia's heart starts to pound now, the monitor around her reflecting her rapid heartrate and her dropping temperature "No" Maia whispered "You can't do this Tara, not if it is going to hurt you. You have to promise it won't hurt you to come get me." Maia shivered, both in the dark and in her actual body against Tara, more from fear of Tara being caught with her unable to escape then from the new wave of icy fingers moving across her skin.

"Shh, honey," Tara murmurs. "Doctor Wilson's going to be there, he'll take care of us both. It'll be different for me - you're locked inside your head, I'll be leaving mine to come to you. As long as my vital signs are strong I'll be able to find my way back, and Doctor Wilson's here to make sure they are. But I'm not leaving without you."

"If I am just in my head, who is in here with me?" Maia looked around her "The voice" She whispered "What is it?"

"I don't know, sweetie." Tara shakes her head. "I think there's something else in there with you. I'll know more when I can come in and see."
