FTEC, Monday night

Janet's taxes were in, her day had been quiet, and she'd slept her way through the entire weekend, somehow through the power of having been offline the whole time having missed all the chaos that had been caused by whatever-it-was this time. But she was at the clinic, listening to music and trying to replace the lightbulb in her favorite penlight.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet wasn't frantically doing her taxes a week before they were due. Erm. Well, she wasn't frantic, at least.

Janet was in the clinic, reading a magazine and bored out of her mind.

OOC: Passover seder JUST finished, and kidlet JUST NOW in bed. Whew.

Janet. Clinic. Alert and awake! Not napping. At all. Really!
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was lazily doing an inventory check, and hoping for an uneventful night at the clinic.

She could hope, right?

OOC: Gimme a couple minutes for OCD. All right, everything should be ready.

FTEC, Monday Night

Janet? There. But a little dizzy. A bout of the flu after that whole thing with D'Anna had kept her confined to her room for most of the week.

OOC: Player is recovering from a week's worth of vacation, and assorted travel badness.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet stumbling into the clinic, travel mug of coffee almost spilling, hoping no one noticed that she was late
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was in the clinic, flipping through some medical journals and waiting for patients to arrive.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was in the clinic, ready for patients. She certainly wasn't laying her head on the front desk. And she certainly wasn't napping. At all.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was in the clinic, slumped in her desk, and wondering if she'd get in trouble for falling asleep in one of the exam rooms tonight.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was at the clinic, with coffee brewing, and a large volume of Greek mythology open on her desk. There might have been little frowny faces every time Ares' name came up in a story. She was certainly more than ready for patients to show.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
This weekend? Oh, Janet had repressed it entirely. Or something like that. She was reading through her Human Anatomy textbook and scribbling snarky notes in the margins. Yes, that was what Janet did for fun. Janet was feeling a little boring bored tonight.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet came careening into the clinic, out of breath and slightly late, and hoping Christian was nowhere around to catch her.
[identity profile] dr-jwilsonmd.livejournal.com
It was the first time Wilson had been back to the clinic since he'd gotten sprung on Friday. He really should come back and get a check up, even with Phale's healing ability and the young doctor figured he might try to catch Troy, Janet, Natalie or Trevor for a follow-up.

In the meantime, he had an escort in the form of a very attentive lover, who walked with him to the Perk for coffee and then down to the clinic. Aziraphale had a group of books, fairy tales that he was rereading or maybe making notes for class OMGmodded!! but regardless, he had tea, he had books and he settled down into a comfortable chair to read while Wilson worked on his own class work.

The scent of coffee soon filled the front office as the pot brewed in the corner, soft insturmental jazz playing on the radio as the two men worked in companionable quiet.

[ooc: Aziraphale modded with permission. Clinic is open, like an open thing that is open.]
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was in the clinic, bottle of ibuprofen in one hand, bottle of water in the other, and only a slight hangover causing her head to throb. She hadn't been able to find the coffee right away, and the front area was slightly messy, as she'd rummaged in all the drawers and cupboards hunting for it. The smell of hot coffee was finally starting to percolate throughout the front desk area, though.

It would be a stroke of horrible luck for Janet's stress levels should anyone be in urgent need of medical care tonight. Just awful.

OOC: And, therefore, please wait for the OCD threads to go up before posting. OCD has been completed. Yay, medical crises! Should, say, anyone specific need urgent medical attention tonight. *haloes*
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was in the clinic, tearing her hair out over studying for her World Religion final. It might be that she didn't see much of a point to it. So she was looking for any excuse to put the books and notes away.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was brewing a pot of coffee and cleaning up in the office. Anything to avoid studying for finals.

OOC: Pre-emptive posting before I leave the office. I'll reply to any pings after I get home.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was reviewing patient charts, trying to familiarize herself with everyone's medical oddities. Otherwise, well, she was still a little full from this weekend.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was at the clinic, ignoring all possible work in favor of flipping through a trashy romance novel. Unfortunately, she kept snickering at it, so it was fairly clear she wasn't working.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was wandering through the clinic, making sure everything was picked up, and that supplies were all in the right place. She was also keeping an eye out for D, who was supposed to show up. Pending player availability, of course.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was trying to organize all the paperwork at the front desk, and also desperately thinking of good places to hide out on Thursday. This was a week that would hopefully go away very quickly.

OOC: Janet's open for patients or random interaction.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was yawning and trying to concentrate on her homework during her clinic shift. It wasn't going too well, really.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was idly sipping her coffee and half-dozing in the clinic tonight.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was highly bored, and going through all of the clinic's equipment, making an inventory of it. Yes, just for fun.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet had a sinus infection and was a little woozy from the decongestant she was on. Which meant she would probably be a little loopy if the clinic had patients tonight.

OOC: Why, yes, the state of the character does reflect the player's mental state, and for precisely the same reason. Just FYI.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was at the clinic, flipping through her research binder, and wondering what was going to break her block.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was at the clinic, coffee in hand, doing some reading for Myth Into History. Man, was Dr. Covington nuts or what?
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was reading a book, or at least pretending to try to, tonight in the clinic.

OOC: If there are any patients, please create a thread for yourself in the Exam Room you're in.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was sitting in the clinic, frowning slightly, and gripping her coffee mug tightly. She was a little cranky. It had nothing to do with classes starting today. Nothing at all. Really.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet slunk into the clinic, hunting for migraine medication in her backpack, and turned the lights down low.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet had a cup of coffee, and her laptop, and plans to sit in the clinic all night and sulk over the fate of Wormhole X-Treme. And certainly no plans to look up fanfic.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet collapsed into her chair at the clinic, then opened up her laptop and started working on e-mails home. With luck, the clinic wouldn't be busy tonight.

OOC: The kidlet should be in bed by 8:30 - 9:00 EST. I may have to slowplay before that time, depending on how active the kidlet is. After his bedtime, I will be able to play with no impediments whatsoever. ETA: It's after his bedtime.

FTEC, Monday Night

[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was, in retrospect, glad she hadn't made plans for the weekend. And at least she hadn't been too horribly embarrassed, except for one phone call she'd prefer to forget. And the clinic was usually a good place to hide out from the world in.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet's first experience with a gremlin bite had been yesterday. Ugh. Maybe that explained the migraine today? One of these days, she was going to do a chemical analysis of the venom. But until then, she had coffee, high doses of pain meds, and the lights turned down low until someone came in and needed medical attention.

FTEC, Sunday Night

Sunday, July 23rd, 2006 05:19 pm
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was in a considerably better mood for tonight's night shift, even if she couldn't find the person she was looking for.

She had a podcast of the radio from last night, and her laptop, and the capability to send e-mail off to Egypt and Colorado, with the possibility of it being forwarded to...other places.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet came in, made a pot of coffee, and started listening to this week's radio podcasts. Maybe Crazy Squid Lady was back in town? Had there been a gremlin sighting lately?

But Liz was just acting weird today. Beyond weird. If this lasted more than 24 hours, there was possible sedation and an MRI in her future.

Until then, she had clinic shifts to cover.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was there. Totally unable to talk, and yes, somewhat cranky about it, but there. She had a lot of paper and a bunch of pens for notes. With any luck, no one would come in unconscious and unable to describe their own symptoms, because if so, she was going to be really thinking it was fun as a player mad at whatever was causing this

OOC: Please wait for the OCD. OCD is up. If you're currently occupying an exam room from last night's events, then please post yourself in there. :)
[identity profile] susanofnarnia.livejournal.com
Susan set up her lawn chair outside her office again, and made sure the umbrella kept her in the shade. Being English is hard on the skin at a tropical posting.

[open for all patients; my WiFi seems to be wonky today, though, so this is probably going to be slowplay, as it is stop-and-start]

FTEC, Sunday Mornng

Saturday, July 8th, 2006 09:44 pm
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet's coffee this morning was extra-strong. Just because. Though instead of research, she had a few magazines to keep her busy instead.

OOC: Please see my access issues post for the reason why I may not be able to get back to you quickly.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was at the clinic, coffee was brewing, and she was trying to stifle a yawn while flipping through charts.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet opened up the clinic early, took some ibuprofin, and settled in with a book. Who knew what today was going to bring?

OOC: Slowplay as it's Father's Day and a very big family day for me.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was taking over for Tommy today. Hopefully, the clinic would be calm, because she had a few books she was hoping to get through while she was here. Or maybe she'd get lucky and people would visit who didn't really have clinic business.

OOC: In other words, open for interaction and for all your clinic needs. As there are no patients, I'm not going to worry about OCDness.

ETA: If I suddenly vanish, it's because work went momentarily busy, and I'll be back shortly.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
The clinic's open early, a pot of coffee is brewing, and Janet's reviewing medical charts on anyone brought in last night.

OOC: Slowplay may have to happen; please mod the FH Nurse if I do not reply as quickly as you'd like. If you're a clinic patient, please post yourself into the appropriate exam room. And wait for the OCD. Ready to post.

Susan's back inside the Clinic, although the doors are open to the courtyard. She's expecting a couple people, but she's also working on the displays again, in order to update them for summer.

Janet was at the clinic, read in case anyone had any kind of injuries.

OOC: I'm currently sharing a computer with my husband, and am therefore on slowplay.

FTEC, Sunday Morning

Sunday, May 28th, 2006 06:32 am
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was in the clinic, notebook open in front of her, waiting for patients.

OOC: As usual, I may be called off to chase after my kidlet at any time. But I should be around, if stuck on slowplay.
[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet was at the clinic. There might have been moping going on, given that Daniel was on a flight to Egypt.

OOC: I have company! Yay, slowplay. If you're in an exam room, please post a thread for yourself.

FTEC, Sunday Morning

[identity profile] janet-fraiser.livejournal.com
Janet stumbled in, exhausted, and opened up the clinic. Thankfully--and unusually--the nurse was around to watch the desk. She waved tiredly and dropped into a cot in the corner to sleep.

OOC: It's Mother's Day and yeah, I want to do the mommy thing with my kidlet. And my mom. :) Which means I am on omg slowplay, but will be tagging in when/if I can. For those of y'all who have plotty stuff, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] will be around. Please give a serious hand of applause to our nurse. She rules.
[identity profile] susanofnarnia.livejournal.com
Susan opened the clinic, mostly to just get organized, but also half-hoping that some of the new students will stop by if Fandom is 'freaking them out'.

She is considering putting up posters to point the way to the Clinic.

[for [livejournal.com profile] janet_fraiser and [livejournal.com profile] once_a_king; open play for others tomorrow]

Nat had slept a little better during the day today and, as a result, felt up to running a few tests in the lab. She bounced happily between the lab and the front desk. On the television, The Thin Man Goes Home was playing and offered amusing background noise.
