FTEC, Thursday

To be honest, Atticus was at the clinic because there were a lot of other places he didn't want to be. He didn't want to deal with the people outside of Gaunt's shop, because he didn't know what they might be capable of at the moment. He didn't trust the vibe of the school's library at all, and trying to heal the preserve had been fruitless and gotten him almost chomped on by crazy deer. When he eventually left this world, it was not going to be death by deer, thank you very much.

So, he'd decided that the best thing he could do was help those who were trying to help others, and that meant tea. He'd charmed some of the folks from the Perk and JGOB into lending him pots and hot plates, and set out a variety of teas for anyone who needed a pick-me-up. Some of them were normal flavors, and some were more medicinal thanks to the herbs he'd... acquired from the Magic Box. (It didn't count as stealing if the door was unlocked when he got there, and he fully intended to pay for everything he'd taken, eventually.) He made sure the nurses got whatever they wanted first, and then stuck a sign on the door:

FREE TEA! COME IN AND RELAX!

It wasn't terribly creative, but he hoped it would work well enough.

[Hello folks! This post is for anyone who wants to help at the clinic, who has broken their curse and needs help, or who wants to just hang out and have some tea. :) There will be a clinic post every day today through Sunday.]

After a week (really, more than a week, at this point) of feeling like everything was kind of wrong and she didn't know how to help, Rapunzel made her way down to the clinic.

It seemed like a natural choice. Even if she didn't use her hair, people could probably use a good hug and someone to talk to, and...well. Rapunzel believed in playing to her strengths.

"Nope, I'm here to help," Rapunzel said, a little shyly. "I mean, if you need it. I can carry tea to people, and stuff!"

A pause as she considered, and added, "And I can heal, if...you know, you guys need magic healing on top of actual-real-doctors and stuff."

Normally, she wouldn't volunteer that so readily, but...well. So many people already knew, and he didn't look like the type of person who'd kidnap someone for their hair, anyway.

(...not that she knew what a potential hair-kidnapper might look like.)

Raven was more than happy to try to heal someone or even just give hugs and reassurance.

She suspected wearing a long white dress in the clinic might not be entirely practical, but she wasn't too terribly concerned about it.

"Very much, thank you," Raven said, returning the smile.

She studied him for a moment, and asked, "I do not mean to be rude, but do I know you?"

Kenzi was in that exhausted-and-ugghy place where she had zero energy, and was bored out of her mind. Hopefully the docs would say she was okay enough to go home and sleep forever today or tomorrow.

"Anybody killed Gaunt yet?" she asked without opening her eyes. "Punched him? ... inconvenienced him?"

That would be you, Kenzi.

"I think he's hiding in his store," Rapunzel offered, scurrying over in case she could be like, at all helpful, here. "So that's gotta be inconvenient, right? Like, at some point he's going to run out of things like fresh milk and toilet paper."

Someone here didn't really understand what kind of a being they were dealing with, no.

Kenzi wouldn't claim to really get it, but she was pretty sure those wouldn't be a problem for the jerk.

"I think he can just sorta zap those to him. Or get one of his minions to go out for take-out." Kenzi opened her eyes to look at Rapunzel, thinking that she'd seen her around at the Welcome picnics. "Which. Hunh. Weird. Why hide in the store?"

Did that make sense? She was too tired to be sure.

Raven came in still basically dragging Drac.

"Does anyone know how to treat vampires?"

Raven quickly came over to help Raven get Drac to a bed.

"I am not certain," she said, brow furrowed. "I would suspect blood would help to restore him. I assume he is not an evil vampire?"

The look Raven gave Raven at that one probably answered her question for her. "I wouldn't have brought him here if he was."

Eleanor had to hope nobody minded the purple flash, or her appearing in the middle of the clinic abruptly. She hadn't been terribly open about her teleportation, previously, but now wasn't the time to be coy.

Not when she had Joker (http://nobloodymessiah.livejournal.com/15363.html) in her arms, in a backwards sort of bridal carry.

"A bed, please," she said. She had to hope this wasn't too injurious to his masculinity. He was poisoned, and tired. She'd make it up to him somehow.

(Joker modded with permission!)

"For me, not for her," Joker clarified woozily. It was hilarious, dammit!

Then he threw up.

There wasn't anything in his stomach, since he hadn't eaten in days, but he got some frothy bile down the front of his shirt.

"If you drool in my hair, dumbass, I will cut you," Karina was saying as she walked into the clinic, carrying Sparkle (http://myownface.livejournal.com/6127.html) via piggyback.

Okay, she wouldn't cut him, and they both knew it, but she had to say something given that he was being a bit... clingy. She understood the reasons why, she did, but ugh.

"I've got a patient here," she called. "He needs a bed."

"I'm not drooling, jerk," Sparkle replied, though his muttered return was halfhearted at best. He was tired, both physically exhausted and emotionally spent, and he wanted for all the world to just find a rock somewhere and set up a nice little summer retreat underneath it. "Too tired t'drool."

Sure. That was how it worked.

[identity profile] notacokeperson.livejournal.com 2015-03-27 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
If he tried to hide under a rock, she was sending Atton to dig him out.

"Sure, sure. Then just go to sleep," she said dismissively, shifting a little in her high heels. "I'll deal with everything. I've got you."

Which, well. She did. He could trust that.

Eliot was being princess-carried into the damn clinic whether he liked it or not. And, if asked, Hardison would insist that anybody who'd just spent the last week being cursed out of their minds didn't get to make decisions about walking and so there.

Which was true enough, but also this was the closest that Hardison could get to just straight up cuddling Eliot and he was going to take the opportunity with absolutely no shame.

"Hey, babe, find us a bed to put Sleeping Eliot on. He ain't no lightweight."

[identity profile] whoisalicewhite.livejournal.com 2015-03-27 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
Parker looked around at all the sick people - some of whom she recognized - and then slid her way through the clinic to one by a window. "This one! So I can watch you if they kick us out." She'd be on the roof, yup.

Eliot did not get a vote on this either, she was totally with Hardison on this one.

"Make him better now," she demanded from the room at large.

Eliot had managed the occasional half-hearted protest on the way to the clinic, even as he'd managed to be leaning his head on one or the other of his teammates the whole time.

"Not sleepin'," he grumbled, possibly only audible to Hardison. "If they kick you out I'm goin' home."

He was going to try to go home either way. But especially if they tried to make either Hardison or Parker go away.
